Hello, this is C-Dub with PianoClubHouse.com. Today I'm going to show you Awesome God by Fred Hammond.
It's a pretty simple song.
The intro starts off [Abm] pretty simple also.
[C] [G] [Cm]
[G] [E] [D] That's the basic, basically what [Dbm] the intro is.
[C] You have C in your left hand.
You have E, [Cm] B flat, and E flat in your right.
[G] You're going to move from G with both hands.
[A] You have G, [F] A, F, [Db]
[E] [Eb] [E] E flat, to E.
[F] All [E] [G] [E]
[Cm] [G] [Eb] [Bb] [Cm] [G] [Cm] right, [G] [E] [A] [Cm] [G] [N]
so I mean that's basically that's actually how it is what you would play.
[Bm] But you can add some stuff to it.
One thing you can add, very simple.
You can do [Cm] like a
[E] [Cm] [Bb]
[F] [C] Just [Ab] like that, so I just put [F] F, [Eb] E flat, [C] C, chord.
[Cm] All right
[F] Let's see another thing you can do
Instead [C] of doing it here.
You can do it from the C.
[Bb] C, [G] B flat, [C] G.
So if you're playing
[F] [Cm] [E] [Bb] [Cm]
[G] [Eb] Let's see and one more you can do something [G] like
[Cm] [G] [Cm] [E] [Cm]
[Bb] So [Cm] from [Bb] [Eb] E flat [F] [Gb] to F to [G] G flat to [Bb] G to B flat.
[G] [Cm] [G] [E] [Cm]
Or the other one.
Either one.
So I'll play all three of them for you.
Okay, first you got the [G] regular.
[E] [Cm] You got something else.
[G] [E] [Cm] Okay, let me start over again.
Okay, you got it.
[E] [F] [Cm] [G] [E] [Bb] [Cm]
[G] [E] [Cm] Yeah, so you know kind of play around with it.
All I'm doing is just playing off of [C] the
Higher [G] pentatonic scale.
[C] So you can [Bb] do all kind of stuff.
[F] You can start right there.
Go up.
[G] F to [Bb] G.
B flat.
[C] [Bbm] You know you can go back [Cm] down.
I don't know.
It's just you know, it's a lot of different ways.
Things you can add right there because it's like the playing field is so open.
So hope that helps.
So I'll play it one more time for you.
[F]
[Cm] [Cm] [E] [Cm]
[G] [E] [Cm] Okay, so you can use that.
All right, so then once you get into the song, you basically still play the same thing.
[F] [E] [Cm] [F] [Cm]
[E] [Bb] [G] [E] [Dm] Then you're going to go to F.
[F] All right, so you have [Eb] F, E flat in the [F] left hand, [Dm] A, D, and F in the right.
[C] Now you have [Bb] this.
[A] [C] Okay, so you starting on [D] C to [Bb] D to B flat, [Ab] [Am] A flat to A.
[Bb] [A] [Dm] [Bb] [Gbm]
[F] [Bb] [A] [Cm] Then back to C again.
[F] [Ebm]
[Cm] [F] [G] All right, then we have the
All right, so you're on the G
left hand.
You have F, G, B, D, and G in the right hand.
Okay.
[B] So [G] you're going to move from G [B]
to B [D] to D.
You're doing the same chord with your right [G] hand.
[F] [G] [Gb] You have G flat in the left hand.
You have E and B flat in your right.
[G]
[F] [Ab] All [F] right, I'm doing F in the left [Eb] hand and I have [Cm] E flat, G, [Eb] B, I'm sorry, [D] E flat, G, and A, and D in the [F] right hand.
[A]
[Gm] [G] So you have, let me get it right.
[F] [A]
[Bb] [F] That's where you're going to be.
So you go from the F, [G] [A] you have the same chord, to A, [Bb]
[Ab] [Gm] G.
Okay, [G] so from the top of that part,
you're [A] [C] [G]
[Abm] back at the [Cm] top again.
[G] [E] All right, all right, let's take it to the bridge.

It's a pretty simple song.
The intro starts off [Abm] pretty simple also.
[C] _ [G] _ [Cm] _ _ _
[G] _ [E] [D] That's the basic, basically what [Dbm] the intro is.
[C] You have C in your left hand.
You have E, [Cm] B flat, and E flat in your right. _ _
[G] You're going to move from G with both hands.
[A] You have G, [F] A, F, [Db] _
[E] _ [Eb] [E] E flat, to E.
[F] All [E] _ [G] _ [E] _
[Cm] _ [G] _ [Eb] _ [Bb] _ [Cm] _ [G] _ [Cm] right, _ [G] _ [E] _ [A] _ [Cm] _ [G] _ [N] _
so I mean that's basically that's actually how it is what you would play.
[Bm] But you can add some stuff to it.
One thing you can add, very simple.
You can do [Cm] like a
[E] _ _ [Cm] _ [Bb] _
[F] [C] Just [Ab] like that, so I just put [F] F, [Eb] E flat, [C] C, chord.
[Cm] _ All right
[F] Let's see another thing you can do
Instead [C] of doing it here.
You can do it from the C.
[Bb] C, [G] B flat, [C] G.
So if you're playing
[F] _ [Cm] _ _ _ [E] _ [Bb] _ [Cm] _
[G] _ [Eb] _ Let's see and one more you can do something [G] like
[Cm] _ _ [G] _ _ [Cm] _ [E] _ [Cm] _
[Bb] So _ [Cm] from _ [Bb] _ [Eb] E flat [F] [Gb] to F to [G] G flat to [Bb] G to B flat.
[G] _ [Cm] _ _ _ [G] _ [E] _ [Cm] _ _
Or the other one.
Either one.
So I'll play all three of them for you.
Okay, first you got the [G] regular.
[E] _ [Cm] You got something else.

All I'm doing is just playing off of [C] the

[F] You can start right there.

[G] F to [Bb] G.
B flat.

[Cm] _ [Cm] _ _ _ _ [E] _ _ [Cm] _

[F] _ [E] _ _ [Cm] _ [F] _ [Cm] _
_ _ [E] _ [Bb] _ _ [G] _ [E] [Dm] Then you're going to go to F.
_ [F] All right, so you have [Eb] F, E flat in the [F] left hand, _ [Dm] A, D, and F in the right.
_ [C] Now you have [Bb] this.
[A] [C] Okay, so you starting on [D] C to [Bb] D to B flat, [Ab] [Am] A flat to A.
[Bb] _ [A] _ [Dm] _ [Bb] _ [Gbm] _ _
[F] _ [Bb] _ [A] [Cm] Then back to C again.
_ [F] _ [Ebm] _ _
[Cm] _ [F] _ [G] All right, then we have the
All right, so you're on the G
left hand.
You have F, G, B, D, and G in the right hand.
Okay.
_ [B] So [G] you're going to move from G [B]
to B [D] to D.
You're doing the same chord with your right [G] hand. _ _
_ [F] _ [G] _ _ [Gb] _ You have G flat in the left hand.
You have E and B flat in your right.
_ [G] _ _ _
_ [F] [Ab] All [F] right, I'm doing F in the left [Eb] hand and I have [Cm] E flat, G, [Eb] B, I'm sorry, [D] E flat, G, and A, and D in the [F] right hand.
_ [A] _
[Gm] _ [G] So you have, let me get it right.
_ [F] _ [A] _
_ [Bb] [F] That's where you're going to be.
So you go from the F, [G] [A] you have the same chord, to A, _ [Bb] _ _ _ _ _
_ [Ab] _ [Gm] G.
Okay, [G] so from the top of that part,
you're _ [A] _ _ [C] _ _ [G] _
[Abm] back at the [Cm] top again.
[G] _ [E] _ All right, all right, let's take it to the bridge.
