Start Jamming...
[C] I want honey, lots and lots of honey.
[Em] [C] It's good in my tummy,
[Am] when [C] you dip the apples in honey.
[F] Oh, oh, oh, oh, it's Rosh [C] Hashanah.
[F] Oh, oh, oh, oh, it's Rosh [C] Hashanah.
[Dm]
[C] [Gm]
Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
[Dm]
[C]
[Gm]
[D] [G] Chag Sameach from the Sea [Ab] of Galilee.
Happy Holidays, or as we call them the Moadim.
The Biblical [C] holidays start off here in Israel with Rosh Hashanah.
There are three.
There's Rosh Hashanah, there is also Yom Kippur, and Sukkot.
These are [Gm] the three Moadim that we [Em] celebrate with the fall feasts.
[D] Rosh Hashanah has come to be known as our Sybil New Year.
So [C] we're exiting [Eb] 5779 and entering the year [E] 5780.
But really this is Yom Tovu'ah that's [Gm] on the Biblical calendar.
So Rosh [C] Hashanah really is the entranceway [F] into the Days of Awe.
Because after [E] that comes Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
Which is the highest holy day in the Bible where God had [C] the high priest to make sacrifices [Gm] to cover the sins [E] of Israel.
And then we walk into Sukkot, the Feast of Boots.
So here we are.
I want to [C] fast forward.
So as we're celebrating Rosh Hashanah, which really is [Gm] Yom Kippur, the Feast of Trumpets.
[G] I want to read about the Feast of Trumpets in the New [C] Testament.
So I'm going to read from [D] 1 Thessalonians [D] 4, [C] verse 16-17.
That the [G] Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a rousing cry, with a call from one of the ruling angels.
And [Dm] with God's shofar, [Em] those who died united with the Messiah [Gm] will be the first to [E] rise.
Then we who are [D] left still alive will be caught up with them in the [C] clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
[Em] And thus we will [G] always be [Gm] with the Lord.
[D] So we blasted the trumpet, but now we're waiting for the great shofar sound.
So as you celebrate Rosh Hashanah, [C] celebrating Israel's new civil [G] year.
[G] We talk about us having a sweet [D] new year.
We eat apples like the fruit of the land.
We [E] celebrate the sweetness and say, hey, we're going to have a sweet [D] new year.
But may you think about [Em] Yom Tovah, that trumpet sound [E] that shall come again soon.
I want to [G] fast forward from four years ago.
We celebrated with my four children Rosh Hashanah to today where we celebrate with my five [C] children.
So I hope you enjoy this video with me and my kids singing.
It's Rosh Hashanah.

It's Rosh [C] Hashanah.
Sing any sweet and solemn tune in the time of the new moon.
The sound of the shofar.
Soon we will see Messiah.

Right, Benny?
[B]
[N] Thanks so much for watching this video.
God bless you.
It was four years ago we did this video.
We didn't have this guy.
Benny is our new baby.
He was born last year on Israel's 70th birthday, May 14th.
And we're so happy to have him.
And he's enjoying the apples and honey.
And just as the Messiah came to fulfill prophecies, so He shall return on this holiday, Yom Teruah, perhaps, on the Feast of Trumpets.
And I'm excited about it.
May God bless you.
