[Bb]
[Am] [N] Hey guys, it's Elise.
Welcome back to my channel.
Now today we're going to learn how to play
All Too Well by Taylor Swift.
It is only four chords and these four chords will work for
either the shorter version or the longer 10 minute version that we now have.
I'm really
excited to teach you this one.
It is one of the first songs that I ever learned on piano.
So with that being said, let's get into it.
Okay, first I'm going to do a run through
of what we're going to be learning.
I am going to sing along with it and I'm a little bit
sick so just ignore that.
[C] [G]
[Am]
[F] [C]
[G] [Am]
[F]
[C] [G]
[Am] [F]
[C]
[G] [Am]
[F] [G] Pretty easy, right?
So [Gb] now let's go ahead and break down those four chords [Eb] focusing on our
right hand first.
So the first chord that we're going to learn is a C [C] major and that consists of
C
[E] and [G] G.
[Eb] [C]
[Em] Okay, then we're going to go down.
The next chord that we're going to learn is a G major.
It consists of G, [G] B, [B] and D.
[G] Okay, the [Eb] next chord we're going to learn is an A minor.
We're just
going up just a little bit.
So we're going to start with [Gbm] A, C, [C]
and then E.
[Em]
[A] [Am]
Okay, then we're
[B] going down just a little bit [G] to F major.
So we're going to start with [F] F and then A.
[A]
[C]
[F]
Okay,
so those are the [Gm] only four chords that we're going to play throughout the entire [N] song.
So
now let's put those together just a couple times to [C] practice transitioning between them.
[G]
[Am] [F]
[C]
[G] [Am]
[F] [Ab] Okay, so now that we have the right hand [B] down, let's focus on the left hand.
If you've seen any
of my other tutorials, you know that usually on my left hand this is what I do.
So whatever our
right hand thumb is on is what we're going to play on our left hand to accompany that chord.
So for
instance, our first chord is C [C] major.
Our thumb is on C, so on our left hand we're going to play C.
[Cm] This is what that'll sound like with that [C] chord.
We go down to [G] G major.
Our thumb is on G, so we're
going to play G.
Play it with the chord.
Okay, then we go up to A minor.
Our thumb's on A, so we play [A] A.
Play with the chord.
[Am] [A] Then we go down [B] to F major.
Our thumb's on F, so we play F on our left [F] hand.
Then play with the chord.
Okay, so now let's play that with the left hand and right hand combined to
get used to it.
[C]
[G] [Am]
[F]
[C] [G]
[Am] [F]
[G] All right, now let's get into [Eb] how you play these chords.
You play it like I did in
the run-through in the beginning of the video, but if you need me to explain it further, I'm going to
do it a little bit slower with no lyrics here.
Now usually in most songs, I like to play each
chord once during the intro, and then I switch it up a little bit more in the chorus and pretty
much throughout the rest of the song.
So with this particular song, the left hand note that we play
that accompanies the right hand, we're going to play that [C] once.
[Cm] And then on our right hand, we're
[C] going to play each chord three times, and it's going to go like this.
Okay, so when we put those
together, it sounds like this.
[G] [Am]
[F]
So now let's put that [C] together.
[G]
[Am] [F]
And that is what you do throughout
the [Gm] entire song.
Like I said, this does work for either the short version or the 10-minute version.
You really just repeat those four chords in the same exact way throughout the entire song.
Okay,
so that is it.
If you have any questions, go ahead and drop a timestamp down in the comments,
and I'll help you further.
[F] Now I'm going [Cm] to go ahead and get into the giveaway that I'm doing.
[Gm] If you didn't know that I was [Cm] doing a giveaway or you've seen it on my [Gm] community page and you
[F] wanted more information, [Cm] now is when I'm going to be giving that [Gm] information.
So the keyboard that I
did today's tutorial on is not the one that I'm going to be giving away.
I have done two tutorials
on the keyboard that I am doing the giveaway for though.
But yeah, [F] the giveaway [Ab] ends when I reach
8,000 [Fm] subscribers [Gm] on my YouTube channel, so make sure you're subscribed.
And if you go and follow
my Instagram, [F] at Elise Music, [Eb] that's where the giveaway post is and it has all of the rules on
how to enter.
The giveaway is international and you can get up [Gm] to six entries [Dm] as long as you
follow the [Eb] rules.
I kind of just explained that in the [Gm] giveaway post.
But [Bb] yeah, I really [F] hope
that this [Cm] tutorial helped.
Leave your recommendations [Gm] of what you want to learn next down in the
[Cm] comments.
I'll see you next video.
