[BOSS TONE CENTRAL] ME-80 played by Rich Eckhardt chords
Start Jamming...
[C] Hi, my name is Rich Eckhart.
I'm lead guitarist for country superstar Toby Keith,
and I've [N] created some custom patches for the new BOSS ME-80 multi-effects pedal.
Before we get started, I'd like to tell you that the ME-80 was the most user-friendly multi-effects pedal that I've used in a long time.
It comes equipped with a fantastic arsenal of ready-made sounds.
I plugged in, auditioned it for a bit, and within minutes I was editing sounds and storing my patches.
I'm going to be using an amp for this demo, but you can play live or record the ME-80 direct out of the pedal.
Here's a patch I created for just basic rock [F#m] rhythm.

[E] [D] [A]
[F#m] [E] [D]
[A] I like to keep my [G#] patches simple and user-friendly.
On here I've just a little delay and made a few minor adjustments to the preamp section.
I made no global adjustments to the pedal at all.
Here's another more classic country patch [G] I created.
I [D] [G]
[N] just used a smaller amp type on the preamp and a little bit of slapback delay.
[E] [Am] [F]
[E] [N]
This is a little bit more of a fun patch.
It's a Prince-like octave setting that I created utilizing more of the [E] ME-80's effects than on most of [F#] my settings.
[E] [N] Alright, I used the ME-80's freeze effect to create this next patch.
I assigned the pedal effects to control the freeze effect.
When I move the pedal forward, the freeze is in play.
[G] When I move it back, the freeze is off.
Watch.
