It's part of the public radio system in Germany.
So there are still three big bands in Germany.
One is in Cologne and one is in Hamburg and we are the Frankfurt Radio Big Band.
So we really concentrate on jazz.
We _ also do other stuff from time to time, accompanying pop stars, which is also very
nice to do.
It's always big concerts and a lot of people.
_ _ But our heart lies in the jazz music actually.

So [A] we had the [D] idea to do a Brazilian [G] flavoured project.
[Cm] _ Tania [Bb] Maria is such a great artist and fantastic composer as well.
_ The thing is always to choose an artist who _ indeed [Am] is also a good [Eb] composer and who's got
something to say musically with his compositions [Cm] and has a certain _ [F] recognisable style.
And all that came together in Tania [Gm] Maria.

_ I don't want [Fm] to be the best _ _ [Bb] piano player in the world.
I want to [A] just be [Dm] happy.

makes me [Bb] happy.

[A] _ _ [Ebm] I [Bb] like the [Fm] rhythmic energy of [E] Tania's music and _ [Eb] I heard Tania playing some years ago with
when I was a student and it was already very inspiring and now I'm very happy to work
with this great musician together.

Generally [Fm] the Brazilian music _ _ [Eb] requires a taste [E] for rhythms.
The rhythm is so important.
For _ [Ab] me it's really fun to enjoy the rhythms because they are so [G] strong and when I hear
these [Bb] rhythms I [E] try to follow them and then I feel [Gbm] joy and fun and then [C] I try to give
this joy and fun to the [D] orchestra.
If it's great music then [B] it's no problem to do this.
