All right in this video.
I'm going to teach you how to play the Charlie Brown theme song
Otherwise known as Linus and Lucy.
I'm gonna divide this into three sections the first section is the
[D] [Gb] I'm gonna be using my middle finger on the G note on the top string here and
then the open [G] D and the open G and
It's gonna be six notes one two three four five six [D] one two three four five six one two three four
five six one two three four five six
so the [G] picking pattern here is
[Em] So you got a hammer on on the second half so the first [G] the first half is open strings
the second half of that part is
[E] [Em] [G]
All right the second part of that song goes like this and
[Bb] [D]
[Bm] Here is how you play that part
Again, my middle finger is going to be on the G note
Top string is gonna be muting the a string
The [D] D will be ringing open and my melody will be coming up and [G] down on the G string
I'm not playing the B, and I'm not playing the high E
the first
the first notes are
Where I'm going open G and [D] second fret G
fourth [G] fret G
then backwards
Second fret [D] G back to open
Then back up to the top
[G]
And I do the opening lick again
[Em] Then back to the open [G] G up to the fourth fret
back to open
[Bb] This is an interesting [Dm] chord here this my index finger here is going to be muting the top string dead
[Bb] it's gonna be playing this a sharp then I got a [D] D string open and
Then this here is the second fret on the G string
It's [A] that chord and [Bb] then I just put my pinky here on the F on the D string and I catch this note
[G] Back to this chord
[D] [E]
So I'll play that part again real slow
[D]
[G] [D]
[Bb]
[Em] [A]
All right, which leads us to the last part all [Em]
[D] [G]
right to play this last little section
We got to grab a bar chord a C bar [C] chord
my index finger is on the
third fret a string my
Ring finger here is going to be barring
The D and the G string and I'm gonna slide that up
[D] to the fifth fret and the seventh fret and
[C] The picking pattern is done dig it in them
[D]
[C] [D] So now I'm gonna put [G] my index finger here on the third fret.
I'm gonna be covering the B string and the high E string
I'm gonna do a down pick and I'm gonna hammer with my ring finger.
I'm gonna hammer on the B string
[Em] Only and then I'm gonna pick it again
So I'm gonna pick [D] hammer pick
Get three times [D] than the last time
[Em]
So I'll play that part real slow
[G]
All right, so here it is all together
[Bb] [Gm]
[E] [G]
[Bb]
[Gm] [D] [A]
[D] You
