Hello and welcome to rockabilly [E] guitar lesson number 12.
This one's really cool
Kind of constructed a neat little solo.
It kind of [G#m] starts off with like the milk cow blues boogie
_ solo lick and
It's pretty fun.
And let me show you how you do it fast and we'll do it close up [E] and
Slow and then we'll do it note for note.
Alright, I'm pretty stoked about this.
I can't wait for everyone to dig into it
Let's do it
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [D] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [C#m] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [Em] _ [E] _ _
_ _ [F#] _ _ [A] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [D] _ [Am] _ _ [A] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Em] _ _ [A] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [F] _ [F#m] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [D] _ _ _
_ _ _ [C#m] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [G] _ [E] _ _ _ [A] _
_ _ _ Nice _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [Am] _ _ _ _ [E] _
_ and slow
[F#m] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ [F#m] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [D] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [C#m] _ _
_ _ _ [F#] _ _ [C#m] _ _ _
[Em] _ _ _ _ _ _ [F#m] _ _
_ Okay, _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ let's talk you through this first part of the solo because that's going to be the hardest [F#] part
_ _ _ _ So [A] _
this is kind of playing like an A chord _ _ _
and [A#] on your D [F#m] string second fret to the fourth fret _ _ _ and
Then you're gonna go to your G string and [A] kind of playing your B also fretting on your second fret _
Kind [E] of doing an A chord
_ [F#m] _ _ Got _ _ [E] _ _ [F#m] _ _ _ _
_ _ [A] _ _ [E] _ that [F#m] _
_ _ _ and [C#] then that's what we're gonna slide up to the on the G string to the sixth fret _ _
_ [A] Then you just kind of repeat
[F#m] _ _ _
_ _ [C#] And
Then what I do on that [B] when I repeat sometimes I just sixth fret in the G string fifth fret [C#m] on the B string
_ _ Gives it some more _
_ [F#m] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [C#m] Okay, _ _ _ [F#m] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[A#] _ _ nice and [E] slow
[F#m] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [A] And _ [A#] what I like to do when I play that [A] I'm holding that a chord give it more power I'll just
_ _ Sometimes I'll just play them both _
_ _ _ Kind of _ [E] play the play the D and the G string [F#m] together _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [C#] Or play it singly
[E] _ [F#m] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
Now _ [F] _ [F#m] _ _ _ [A] _ _
_ _ let's [C#m] do that part after you do that
_ _ [F] _ [F#] _ _ _ _
[E] Back on your D string [F] second [F#] third fourth _ _ [A] to the second on your B string _ _ pretty [F#m] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _ _
much all that is
[F] _ [F#m] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [A] _ _ _ _ _
_ [F#] _ _ [A] _ _ [F] _ [F#] _ [A] _
_ [F] _ [F#m] _ _ _ _ _ [A] _
_ _ _ _ _ [E] _ [F#m] _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [F#m] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [N] So then we're gonna slide up _ on your G string _ to the 11th fret on your B string to the 10th [F#m] fret _
_ _ _ _ And [Em] _
you were gonna [G#m] slide down the 9th fret on your G string to the 8th fret on the B [Em] string _ _
[D] _ _ [Am] _ [C#m] _ _ _ _ _
[F#m] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[A] _ [E] But
Slid down and then we're gonna slide again to the seventh fret barring [D] _
the _ _ G and B string _
_ [C#m] _ _ _ _ _ [D] _ _
_ Okay _ _ [Em] _ [D] _ _
_ _ _ seventh fret B and [E] E, excuse me B and A, G [D] and B _
_ [C#m] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[N] And that's sixth fret on your G string and fifth fret on your B [C#m] string
_ _ _ _ [F#m] _
_ [C#m] _ And you're just taking your finger and [F] on the B string you're gonna [F#] kind of
_ [C#m] _ _
[C#] Put it on the seventh fret and pull it off, you [F#m] know _
_ _ _ _ _ [C#m] _ _ _
_ Then we're just basically [N] gonna go third fret to the fifth fret on your B [Em] string _
_ Playing an open E _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [B] _ _ _ [F#m] _ _ _
_ _ _ [D] _ _ _ [C#m] _ _
_ _ [F#m] _ _ [C#m] _ _ _ [G] _
_ _ _ _ [A] _ _ _ _
_ [Dm] _ [F#m] _ _ Okay, _ _
[E] _ _ _ _ _ so _
So _ _ then after you [D] do [Em] that
Just _ _ _ _ _
_ [D] _ [Em] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ third fret to fifth fret E string [E] open
_ Third fret to fifth on the B string _ _
_ _ Then we're just gonna [N] bend on the G string
_ _ _ _ _ Fourth fret and we're gonna pinky is gonna _
_ [Am] _ _ [D#] _ Pinky is gonna be on the fifth fret _ on your E string
[A] _ _
_ _ _ _ [Bm] To the second fret on your G
_ _ _ _ _ _ [A] _
_ _ _ Okay, [F#m] and then after you play that you're gonna go to your
D string and go to the fourth fret to the second fret on your G string
[E] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [A] _ _ _
_ and then to the beginning again [F] _
[F#] _ on your D [A] string second third fourth [F] fret
[F#] _ [A] _ _ And _ _ _ _ _ [E] _ [F] _ [F#] _
[A] _ [E] _ [F#] _ _ [A] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [Em] _
_ _ _ _ then it's [D#] done _
_ [A] _ _ Nice _ [F] _ [A] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [E] _ _
_ and slow again
_ Well, _
_ _ _ _ [A] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [F] _ [F#] _ [A] _ _
[F] _ [F#m] _ _ _ _ _ _ [Em] _
_ _ _ _ [N] _ _ _
