Hey, do you want to learn how to play one-on-one on a black helmet?
Me either!
This one is going out to our friend who requested this.
Thank you so much.
You rock.
God bless.
[B]
[G#m]
[Em]
[C#] [B]
[E]
[Em] [C#]
[B] All right, so we are in the key of B major guys and these little, these chords are gonna be a little bit uncomfortable
I think for beginners, [N] but
Once you learn them, I think there's a couple of really cool progressions in [B] there that you will really benefit from learning
[F#] I'm gonna play it in
B and then I'm gonna show you how to [C] play it as open chords if you're finding it too hard
Yeah, I don't want you to miss out on such a [Em] beautiful song just because a couple of chords are a little tricky
So let's get started.
Bar the [Bm] seventh fret like so, then we're gonna put our middle finger [D#] down onto the eighth fret of our G
[B] These two are gonna go to the ninth fret of our D and A string
Okay, that's a B chord.
All right, and we're gonna pluck
Alternate between bass and the rest of the strings using these, but it's up to you.
I mean you could totally strum it
like so
[G] The next chord is a B augmented.
So what that means is we're actually gonna keep those fingers like that
But what we're gonna do is we're gonna bring our ring finger down and go underneath our middle finger
to the eighth fret of
our B string, [B] our second string, okay, and then
It's important that you get those there first
Then bring your little finger down around to the ninth fret of your D string, okay
But again, even if you played it like that, that would be fine
Okay, if you really got stuck, you do get your little finger up there.
It's quite an awkward chord
I'll show you how to play it in [G] a different position soon.
The next one [G#m] is I think is probably gonna be a G sharp minor
So we're gonna move that shape, the B shape, down to the fourth fret
But take off your middle finger, okay?
G sharp minor
But I think in the second verse, and I could be wrong, in the second verse this chord
becomes an E major 7 as a [E] replacement because I hear this E bass
So I'm thinking it wouldn't be
So I think it's more likely it becomes an E major 7
But you can decide which one you prefer the [G#m] sound of.
But for now, let's go with G minor, sharp minor 7, or G sharp minor
Then it goes from the G sharp minor to a
Classically [Em] an E minor
Okay, [A] so that [B] is barring the seventh fret again
Middle finger goes [G] to the eighth fret of [Em] our B
And then these two are going to the ninth fret of this side, the D and
Sorry, the G and D strings.
Okay, and you can leave this open E bass
All right, and that's how [B] you're gonna start to play that progression again.
So we're on B, and we're gonna go to the augmented
B augmented, then [G#m] to the G sharp minor
Okay, [Em] then E minor
Okay, [C]
and I think [C#] you could possibly go to the, [A#] what is it, an A sharp diminished seventh chord
[C#] [D] so
[A#] Like [Em]
[E] [C#] so, [A#] that's on the eighth fret of your
D string, [Em]
ninth fret of your G
eighth fret of your B
[F#m] Ninth of your E, [A#] okay
[C#]
A [A#] sharp
[C#] diminished seventh
[Em] Alternatively from that E minor instead of going
You could just put [C#] your little finger down onto that note there
Okay, it's gonna give you a similar sort of sound, not the exact one, but if you're struggling with this shape
[A] All right, so that is the the verse
Then it goes to the same one, [B] alternating between the B, the first chord, and the E minor
[Em] Okay, then again B and then [Cm] E minor
But the second time, I mean what the pianist is playing, I can hear an E flat [E] bass
[B] So that's a B with an E flat bass if you're really particular, you really want that sound.
Otherwise a B is fine
Okay, so B and then [Em] E minor and it does, like I said, it does that twice
Then we, then it plays this little turnaround, which is quite funny, but quite [B] quite nice.
It goes B, then we're gonna [Dm] go B flat
Okay, [C#m] [E]
which is an E chord [F#] with an F [C#m] sharp bass
[B] So again, that turnaround is B, move it [A#] down one fret
B [D] [B]
[D] flat, then
What we're gonna do is we're gonna bar the ninth fret with our ring [E] finger, like so, but only the second, third and fourth strings
Then we're gonna bring our middle finger up here to play [F] on the ninth fret [F#] of our A [Em] string
but the [A#m] first finger is going to the seventh fret of [C#m] the D string
[F#] Okay, [C#m]
so you can think of that as like an E9 or really as a
Sorry an F sharp 9 or an E with a F [F#] sharp bass, [E] which you could also play up here as an E chord [F#] with an F [E] sharp bass
up to you
[C] And that is the whole song.
Now, like I said, I don't want you to miss out on the song if these chords are so hard
So here is the, uh, a key higher to make it a little bit easier
We're gonna play a C chord, which you should know how to play, then a C augmented
So what, what's changing here is that [G] the G goes to [G#] a G sharp.
Okay, [C] so
That's a C, right?
The second chord, [G] [C] we're gonna finger it like this
Okay, so [G#] the first thing there on the G sharp note of the G string, so on the first fret of the G
[E] And then that's, the rest of it is just like a normal C chord, okay?
[C]
Okay, [E] then the C augmented
Okay, the next one will [Am] be an A minor
Okay, and [Fm] then it'll be an F minor
Which will be [C] [Fm] barring the first fret and [A#] then an E minor above it
Okay, just like E minor one fret higher [B] with a bar, [Fm] okay?
[C] So again, C, C augmented A [Am] minor F [Fm] minor
Okay, and then the pre-chorus part goes to [C]
C F [Fm] minor
Okay, [C] it makes a C
But then actually be a C with an E bass
So this is something quite C, with an E bass
Then [Fm] F minor
All right, and then the turnaround [C] will be C [B] B and [F] then
F with a G bass, so that's an F chord
But you move your ring finger up to the third fret of the E bass to make it a G bass
[C] Okay, so that's your C [B] B
Like [F]
so.
Thanks for watching.
