[G] He's high.
[C]
Where's the praise?
[N]
We've been [C] traveling like this for probably [D#] two and a half years or so.
And right at the beginning of this part of our ministry, casting crowns,
we got connected to a little girl named Erin.
She had done a dance to one of our songs, a song called Here I Go Again, on the first record.
She did a dance at a recital, and they sent us a DVD of this.
And this little child, I'm saying she didn't have enough face for her smile.
Does that make sense?
[C#] And we just had to meet her.
And we got connected with her at a concert not [C] long after that.
Right about the time that we got connected with Erin and Laurie, her mom, and the rest of the family,
like nine kids or so in there,
they discovered that Erin was developing tumors in her lungs very rapidly.
And they went from testing to treatment and testing to treatment all over the country.
And we went on a journey of prayers [B] and emails and phone calls and visits for almost two years.
The Lord took Erin home about ten months ago.
And I guess one of the things that God showed me through this,
because He works all things together for good for those who love Him
and are called according to His purpose,
one of the good things that He worked out of this
was that He showed me a part of worship [N] that was not a part of my life through this mom.
Because Miss Laurie had something about her worship that was deeper than mine.
She had the kind of worship that Job talked about.
It was Job that said,
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away,
but blessed be the name of the Lord.
There was something about this lady's worship.
I guess what God is showing me is that sometimes He calms the storms in our lives,
and sometimes He just rides them with us.
But either way, blessed be the name [D#m] of the Lord.
This is Erin's song.
[B] [C#] [F#]
[A#m]
[D#m] I was sure by [B] now, God, He would have [F#] reached down
and wiped [C#] our tears away,
[A#m] stepped [D#m] in and saved the day.
But [B] once again, [F#] I say amen,
and it's still [C#] raining.
But [G#] as the thunder rolls,
[B] I barely [F#] hear you whisper through [D#] the rain,
I'm [C#] with you.
[G#]
And as your mercy [C#] falls,
[B] I'll raise my hands and praise the [F#] God who gives
and [C#] takes away.
[C#] [D#m]
And I'll praise you in [B] this storm,
and I will [F#] lift my hands.
You are who [C#] you are,
no matter [D#m] where I am.
With every [B] tear I cry,
you hold in [F#] your hand.
You never left [C#] my side,
though my heart is [G#] torn.
[F#] I will praise you in this storm.
[A#m] [D#m]
I [B] remember when I [N] stumbled
