[F#m] [E] [C#m] We're [B] moving some back [Am] now.
Red River Valley.
[Em]
Red River Valley, yeah.
[F#m] That's what it [Bm] is.
What this [Em] is for a video on [A] Red River [E] Rock.
Two of my favorite [B] groups that I, when I started [A] listening to music back [F#] in the late 50s
was a group called Bill [A] Black's Convo.
[E] Bill [A] Black was the bass player for Elvis [C#] Presley.
[E] [B]
Instrumental group [F#] he wanted to play [A] instrumental music
like the black groups were playing around Memphis for dancing.
[C#] In [E] the late 50s he started it and [F#m] everything he did had that chugging.
[E] He featured an organ, [C#m] saxophone, no [D] vocals.
[Bm] And the other [C#m] part of it was a group called [A] Johnny and the [N] Hurricanes.
And they did a tune called Red River Rock, which is really just [A] Red River Valley.
[F#] They [G] rocked it up.
[E] But they did a [Am] bunch of songs [G] like that.
[C] And they were an instrumental group.
[G] And they also used organ and saxophone like Bill Black.
Because Bill Black had an organ and saxophone too.
Bill Black's guitar player hardly [G#] ever played leads.
Right.
But Johnny and the Hurricanes guitar player did.
Martin, just for the record, explain [D] how you were able [A] to get organ on that guitar.
It was something to do with a sure foot pedal.
I don't know.
[G] [E] We all do need the organ.
It [Bm] says you can get [E] like 350 signs by the end of like two.
So the rest of it is just wasting space [Bm] I guess.
[A] [C#m] But it's kind of neat.
[A] And I got [E] into listening to that [A] Lonnie Mack [E]
DVD that you let me have.
[B] [A] And he uses that sign in a lot of stuff.
[Am] [E] [A] [E] [Am]
So [G] [A]
are we [Em] ready now?
