[G] Hi everyone and welcome to my channel.
[F] In this video, I'll be reviewing [E] the Yamaha SLG200 [Am] nylon.
I previously bought [G] this guitar because I needed to practice quietly.
[F]
As you'll [E] see, the Yamaha is a great sounding [Am] guitar.
Thanks to its cutaway [G] and fast neck, it can become an outstanding [F] soloing machine.

[G] As you can see, this is a silent, bodyless guitar, which can be a bit confusing at first,
but super handy if you want to practice quietly.
The guitar itself is really easy to use.
You've got a knob that will let you mix the piezo pickup based in the saddle,
and the simulated body resonance made by Yamaha.
There's also treble and bass volume control,
a tuner and three built-in effects, two reverbs and one chorus.
You can plug the guitar directly into your amp, right here.
You can also plug any external source of music right here,
like a backing track, for example.
The Yamaha SLG is [Gb] a versatile [Ab] guitar and works with many types of music,
such as Brazilian bossa nova.

[Em] I [B]
[Em]
bought [Ab] this guitar because I needed to play quietly,
and [G] to be frank, I was blown away by the sound of it.
It's a really comfortable guitar with easy access to higher frets.
Normally, on a classical guitar, you can barely access the 12th fret,
and here I can [Gb] easily play up to the 18th fret.
And I really like the whole concept of a silent, bodiless guitar.
OK, now, let's talk about what I [Eb] actually didn't like about this guitar.
[G] First of all, the action could be lower.
I mean, it's super playable, but there's room for improvement.
Also, another small detail is, when you strum on this guitar,
you have to be careful not to play too hard,
because you can get a too condensed sound, which is not really great.
Finally, and much more important, if you're a flamenco guitar player,
this guitar is going to be a dealbreaker for you.
Let me tell you why.
Flamenco guitar players use the golpe technique,
which is hitting the guitar body with your hand.
I'll show you that on the other guitar.

[E] [Em] [Am]
[Ab] As you can see, I use my hand to hit the [G] guitar body to play the rumba.
Well, if I take the Yamaha
I [D] can't.
[G] So, sorry, flamenco guitar players, but you may want to look somewhere else.
Well, I hope that you liked my review.
