I wanted the 16ths to always be slurred, but if you guys think of any other bowings, [G#] in the quartet, [G] I was wanting hook [A] bowing in the beginning [D] of scene one.
[Bm] [C#] Tracking the strings for Stay With [D] Me for this album was an incredibly [G] unique experience in [B] a bunch of ways.
[Em] So often now, [G] you'll get [A] into the studio and it'll be [Em] three or four [F#m] people [A] trying to recreate [D] the sound of an orchestra.
Just [E] having all those players in [C] the same room together, [D] kind of fighting after that [G] final goal, it's not something that you can [Em] create in the computer, it's not something you can create with a couple players.
[A] [D] The thing about the Stay With Me [G] string arrangement [A] was that [D] it wasn't something that was [G] really very [A] difficult.
It wasn't going to push these [D] string players to the limits of their abilities.
[Em] I learned that day that the simplicity [E] on the page becomes [A] something that [Em] has [F#m] so much life when you have that many people [D] in the same room.
[G]
[Em]
To have these players [A] tracking something that is just so personal to [Em] me was kind of [F#m] an intimate [D] experience, and to be able to invite them into that and have them respond so [G] positively was just so encouraging.
Truthfully, I don't think I've [Em] experienced anything like [A] that in my [Em] career thus far.
People [A] just showing up for fun to make music, and you'd think that that wouldn't be [Em] so unique, but it is.
[G] [A]
For me, music is about collaboration.
It's about being together in [D] the same room, making music with your peers.
That session was just such an incredible [Gm] [Bm] experience for me, to be able to bring all those [G] people into the full, [Bm] share with them my [G] vision, and have them bring [E] it to life [A] in a way that I had never seen coming.
That's what music is [Am] about for me.
[D]
[G]
And that's it.
Oh, I'm making me so [D] happy right now.
