Hey Guitar Buddies, classic track [N] from the Beatles, Ticket to Ride [A] and it's got a great
riff which is really nice and simple.
I'm starting by playing, [F#]
[A] I'm just playing A on
2 on the G string, then open [E] E, [C#] then C sharp on 2 on the B [A] string and then again A and
just releasing my second finger, [F#]
[B] A, B, [E] E.
So 2, open, open.
[A]
[E] And then I just [Cm] swap the
first note [A] for the A an octave lower.
So I'm playing an open A, [E] E, C [C#m] sharp, [A] A, [B] B, E.
[A]
[E] And
that plays on the [B] verse, okay that repeats and then it goes to a B minor and I just pick,
so [Bm]
I play [B] the B minor shape, play the B on 2, [Bm] then F sharp, D, 2, 3 on the E and B strings and
[B] re-picking the B on 2 and playing B on 4, [Bm] then D on 3, then [E] an E.
So that's the verse chord.
[Bm]
[E] [F#m]
Then on an [N] F sharp minor, but she's got a ticket to ride, [F#m] to [D] a D7 chord, [C#] [D]
back to F sharp [F#m] minor and
[G] then I'm playing a G major 7, so I'm playing 3, the A string's muted by my second finger and then
open D, open G, open B and 2 on the E string.
Then back to F sharp minor, [F#m] to [E] E, [A]
back to the riff [B]
[D] and then we've just got this bridge section which is, I'm playing a D7 and I'm playing it 5 on the A string, 4 on the D string, 5 on the G string, 3 on the B string.
[E]
Then to an E, [E] back to D7, [D]
[B] [F#] then this lick, I'm
playing B, I'm bending to a B and releasing on 14 on the G string, [G] then a kind of quarter tone bend on the G on [F#] 12, then an E on 14 on the G string and then I'm sliding
[Bm] from 14 to 16 on the G string, A to B and playing D on 15 on the B string, back to B, so
slowly [E] and [F#]
[Bm] then bending [E] the E up to F sharp, so bending on 17 and releasing, then D on 15, back to E and then that E holds [A] while the second guitar kicks [F#] in with the riff again, but I was just, went straight to the riff, you know, just for the one guitar version, so,
[F#]
ok and then just at the end of the song, it just goes to an A chord for
My Baby Don't Care, My Baby [A] Don't Care, and over that you've got some,
[D]
just kind of improvising around the 5th position, [F#] kind of blues scale with also an F sharp,
[D] all around there you can just play around with that, so I'm playing bends on the 7th fret of the G string, [C] also a kind of bend on [D] 5, [F#]
and a bend on [Cm] 7 on the B string, an F sharp [E] to G.
[D] That, just some, throwing in some licks [B] at the end of the [A] song, ok.
So that is A Ticket To Ride, thanks for watching buddies.

So 2, open, open.
[A]
[E] And then I just [Cm] swap the

[Bm] then bending [E] the E up to F sharp, so bending on 17 and releasing, then D on 15, back to E and then that E holds [A] while the second guitar kicks [F#] in with the riff again, but I was just, went straight to the riff, you know, just for the one guitar version, so,

and a bend on [Cm] 7 on the B string, an F sharp [E] to G.
[D] That, just some, throwing in some licks [B] at the end of the [A] song, ok.
So that is A Ticket To Ride, thanks for watching buddies.
