Start Jamming...
Hey, how's it going guys?
My name is Tyler Barnham.
Thanks for stopping by my YouTube channel
I want to first give a shout out to Wrangler for this awesome shirt and jeans that I'm sporting in the video today
I got Dave Flint here on my left.
He's gonna be playing guitar for me.
We're gonna do a new cover for you guys
I was at CRS last week and ran into one of my idols Ty Herndon
So I decided this week I should do a cover of one of my favorite [Bb] songs of his called
[E] [C]
I
Thought I knew
the girl so well
[F]
She said [C] I couldn't tell I missed the point I missed the signs
So [F]
if she's gone [C] fault is mine
And [Dm] I know I know [Gm] [Dm] a whole lot of [C] little things
[Dm] and even though [G]
[Dm] I
Could list them one [C] by one.
She would still [G] be gone
Her [C] eyes are blue.
Her hair is long
[F] 64 she [Dm] was born in [C] Baton Rouge
Favorite song was [F] in my life.
I memorized
[Gm] [Am] After every move I [C] knew her books her car her clothes
But I Know
[F]
Attention to what [C] matter
No, you guys think man.
I never asked
She never said
[F] And when she cried I turned [C] my head
She dreamed her dreams
Behind closed doors
[F] That made them easy [C] to ignore and [Dm] I know I know
Whole lot of little [C]
things
[Dm] Even though I can listen one [C] by one
[G]
She
Her eyes [C] are blue her hair was long
[F] 64 she [Dm] was born in [C] Baton Rouge
Her favorite song was in [F] my life
[Dm] Memorized her [Am] every move.
I knew [C] her books her [F] car [G] But [C] I Know
[F]
[D] [C] Attention
Her eyes are blue her hair was long
[F] 64 she was [Dm] born in [C] Baton Rouge
Her father's tall
[F] Mother's gone.
She moved [Dm] down west when she [C] was two the way she laughed the way [F] she loved
Oh [Dm] my god, what did [C] I do?
[F] [Dm] [C]
[F] [Dm] [C]
[E] [F] [Dm] Oh
You [C] were paying attention when I walked in
[F] [Dm] [C]
[N]
I
Know I'm a big fan of this guy's he already knows that already
But he's actually doing some recordings here today in our label.
This is the label office and management office and I didn't know you're here
I know it was down the hall there.
I said that's not like it [G] sounds like mr.
T saying it down there
Singing my song
[N] Well, I hope I didn't scare you no, I just was you know, we didn't plan that I was pretty cool right yes
Professionals right here, man
So gosh, well, I got you here.
What do you got going on?
Man, you know, this is a great town Nashville's always something going on
So just making new music and this is this is good to know because you're just starting out and making your records and stuff
The country fans are the most awesome fans in the world and you're finding that out and you always have a home with the fans
so even after all these years and
[G] Making records.
I still you know
So take it to the fans because it's about new music and [N] keeping fresh with what you're doing out there
But see I have to I have to reinvent you're not there yet.
Okay, so you just do your thing
I got now and do your thing is saying for those folks.
Absolutely.
That's the best advice I can give you
So what's the what's the craziest story from all the years like
Being on the road.
I have an awesome crazy story when I had we were doing about 200 dates a year
And we always had this is a smart thing to do if anybody gets off the tour bus
You have to let somebody know Okay
So we always had this little cigar box up there and everybody had a color-coded coin
Spray-painted coin if your coins out of the box meant you were off the bus
So you wouldn't get left I got up about 630 in the morning to go to the bathroom
We stopped at the truck stop and I forgot to put the coin out which is a cardinal bad thing to do
So they left me.
I mean they left me at a truck stop and somewhere in Albuquerque, New Mexico
I didn't have my wallet and have a payphone and have a payphone
I have a cell phone have anything with me.
I had to go to a payphone call my [Ab] mom
Yeah, this is my mom the bus left me
What they got [N] three hours down the road for they even realized that I was a tie on the bus
Yes, but my mom actually called the accountant and the accountant gave her the bus driver's phone number
She got very creative go mom and finally got a hold of the bus driver.
She's like, hey you left my son
You might go around but this is that sort of story.
It's good.
I
Had nobody believe it was me.
I was like, you know, my name's Tyler.
I'm a country singer
That's my first song was that they're like I kind of heard of you, but this lady truck drivers
She had a tattoo of Winona.
She was a big fan of Winona on her arm and she actually believed me
She heard my songs in the picture.
So she gave me a ride
I got a hold of the bus met us drove an hour and a half back and we drove with her
well, we got there first for some reason and
She's talking on the CB to this guy
Said you're not gonna believe I've got in my in my cab here.
He's like who?
So they actually met he came with his truck met and she met this guy there at the McDonald's or sitting McDonald's
Yeah, and he was a big country fan and they met and later got married
So if I hadn't got left they never would have and thank heavens for one on a tattoo
And I heard you have [G] a new single out I have a brand new single and thank you for mentioning that
After all these years, it's good to put new music out to beautiful song called eyes
I'm glad I didn't believe but you couldn't sing that yet, but I can't
