10/19 Paramore - Tribute to Taylor + Hate to See Your Heart Break @ Parahoy (Show #2) 3/07/16 chords
Jam Along & Learn...
Thank you.
So, the ironic thing about declaring your happiness is that [D] life doesn't just stay where
I hate to break it to you, but happiness should never be the goal.
Maybe hope should, but happiness shouldn't.
And I [Bb] guess what I want to say to sum all that up and say it really quickly [B] is that
[N] don't let being sad or being upset about something take your hope away from you, ever.
I'm preaching to myself just as much [Eb] as any of you because sometimes life just hits you
and it's alright.

_ _ _ _ _ _ Thank you. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ So, the ironic thing about declaring your happiness is _ that _ [D] _ life _ doesn't just stay where
you are, it keeps going. _
_ _ I hate to break it to you, but _ happiness _ should never be the goal. _ _ _
_ _ Maybe hope should, but happiness shouldn't.
And I [Bb] guess what I want to say to sum all that up and say it really quickly [B] is that
[N] _ _ _ _ don't let being sad or being upset about something take your hope away from you, ever. _
_ _ _ I'm preaching to myself just as much [Eb] as any of you because sometimes life just hits you
[D] right in the face and it's alright.
Because [Eb] _ I for one think it's kind of cool [N] to have a black eye every now and then.
I think it looks good. _
It shows you've been places, you've done things.
And I think it's definitely okay to have scars.
_ And it's definitely okay to hurt and be in pain and show it.
And that's why we have friends in this life. _
_ _ [Am] _ And that's why we have music.
[E] _ _
[N] _ _ I've been _ _ _ so so blessed [C] and excited all the time to be able to combine friendship and
music into one thing for most of my life now, half my life really.
_ _ _ And you're going to hate this so you might want to turn around if you're going to hate it.
But _ you know, _ four years ago when we were writing what is my favorite Paramore record
at the moment, it won't be for long because when we put out a new one that will be my favorite. _ _ _
_ When K.O. and I were writing those songs I saw him go through a season where life really
hit him in the face and I think that a sign of real friendship is when somebody hurts
with you and hurts really hard with you.
And so it [F] hurt me to watch him be in pain. _ _
[Db] _ _ So we wrote this song [B] and it sort of came out of the blue [Ab] and it happened so fast that
sometimes [N] I don't even remember writing it.
What I really remember is all the ups and downs we've been through that we've made it through together.
And this past year has been a year that for me I never want to relive again.
And at the same time I would do it again if it meant understanding what having a real
friend in this life feels like.
And Taylor thank you so much _ _ _ _ for just being awesome. _
_ _ _ _ Yes, you can change.
That's good.
Thank you very much. _ _ _ _
_ _ [B] It is an honor to play [G] music with all the people that are here.
It's been an [Db] honor to play [B] music with Josh, with Zach, with Jeremy, everyone that's [F] ever
played in the Paramore.
_ [Em] _ _ It's such an [N] honor man, you know, to have friendship in music and rolling the one thing
is like only God, you know, only God can do that.
And _ _ [G] I'm just glad that it's not over [N] because I want to keep doing it. _
_ _ _ So we're going to play a song that now means more than it did four years ago.
And [B] _
I just [B] sing along. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [F] _ _ You can help me. _
There's not a [Dm] single _ _ word in the [F] whole world _ _ that could [Dm] describe the _ hurt _
The dust [F] that just comes back and forth and ripping [C] through the skin
If there ever was a way [G] to love, _ [F] _ _
a way [C] to love _ _ _ _
_ [F] And I, _ _ _ I hate to see your heart break _ _
[C] I hate to [F] see your eyes get dark
The rest, they come when I've been there before
_ And I, _ _ _ I hate to see your heart break _ _
I hate to [Bb] see your eyes [F] get dark
The rest, they come when I've been there _ before
_ _ _ Love, _ _ _ [Dm] love is _ hard
To _ people [F] who aren't kind
_ And heroes [Dm] who are _ blind
And expecting [F] perfection
To be scenes who want to [C] knock the slides with
To me, how are you [F] to know?
_ Oh, how are you [C] to know?
Oh, oh, oh
[F] And I, I _ _ [C] hate to see [F] your heart break _ _
I hate to see your eyes get dark
The rest, they [F] come when I've been there _ before
And I, _ _ _ I hate to see your heart break _ _
I hate to see your eyes get dark
The rest, they come _ when I've been there _ before
[Dm] _ _ _ _ _ _
For all [F] the air that's in [C] your lungs
_ [Dm] _ _ _ _ [D] _ _
For all [F] the joy that is [C] to come
For all [F] the things that you're alive to feel
In _ [C] my mind, your heart, and you
Oh, how are you [F] to know?
_ _ Oh, how are you [C] to know? _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [F] _ _ _ _ _ _
[C] To see your heart, _ _ _ _ _ [F] to see your heart _ _ _ _ break
I _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
hate to see your heart break _ _ _
I hate to see your eyes get dark
The rest, they [G] come when I've been there [F] _ before
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [G] _
_ _ [F] _ _ _ _ _ [G] _
_ _ [F] I _ _ hate _ _ to see your heart break _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[G] _ _ _ _ _ [F] _ _ _
[G] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[F] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Bb] _ _ _ I hate to see your eyes get dark
The rest, they come when I've been there before
For all _ the air that's in your lungs
For all the joy that is to come _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ For _ all the things that you're alive to feel
In my mind, your heart, _ _ _ and you
Oh, how are you to know?
_ [Bb] _ _ _ [F] Oh, how are you to know?
[G] How are you to know? _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [N] _ _ _ _ _
