[C] Hey everybody, Norm over here.
[Gm] And you know, Grant is one of my favorite [F] guitar [Em] players
and one [A] of the greatest guitar players that ever [A#] walks
through the door here at the store.
[F#m] And I've often wondered who taught you to play.
And it's this guy here.
He's 50 years old.
He looks really young.
He's got that thing where he just [F#] stays real young looking.
But that is Saxon Weiss.
_ _ _ [F#m] And so_
Saxon is 10 years old, by the way, in reality.
In reality?
When I was 10, I was reading comic books, you know.
[G] This kid [F#m] plays great guitar.
When I was [F#] 10, I think I was in juvenile hall [F#m] or something.
_ Doing something wrong.
But it's [G] really amazing when you get to hear a kid this age
who can play like this.
And you know, it's just a great coupling here.
Grant walked in, heard him play.
I handed Grant this beautiful 61-335.
[G#]
Which I'm stealing.
Which is like the sister to your guitar.
You've got the red one.
I have a red one.
But this is darn pretty.
[F#m] And by the way, you are playing, Grant Geisman is promoting
his new [F#] record, Blues.
V-L-O-O-Z.
I didn't know how to spell it.
You should ask him how to spell [C#] Blues.
Well, I know he spells it different than I do.
I would imagine.
So one of you two [F#] monsters.
_ Well, you were playing a [C] Chet Atkins thing.
So why don't [F#] you play that and I'll [A] chime in.

Wow!
[D] Socks and Wise.
So cool.
And [A] Grant Geisman.
Socks, who taught you to play?
Because [A#m] _ [Cm] it's very unusual for somebody your age [Gm] to be playing
like that and [Am] improvising like [F] that.
Yeah.
Very, very cool.
Who was your [A] teacher?
I started [F#m] out just on the ukulele actually.
Really?
And then I was doing that myself and stuff.
[C] And [A] then I went over to guitar and tried that out and I was
trying to figure out [A#] some stuff.
I went over to doing classical guitar and _ did that.
And then I also have a [B] teacher for jazz and theory [A] and stuff.
[D#] Very cool.
[D] Did you learn a lot on the internet as well?
[C] Not much.
Really?
[Em] Well, whoever taught you did a hell of a job.
That's all I [G] can say.
Yeah.
_ [Dm]
What a fun [C] afternoon this is.
Thank you.
So great.
[G] Really, really [D] fantastic.
The great [F#] Socks and Wise.
You better be looking out for [D] this kid.
This kid is something.
We've had a lot of young kids that can really play.
But this kid may be the best that I've ever heard for that age.
Good for you.
[F#] Really good.
And Grant, for your [G] age, you play pretty well too.
You know, I'm [C] learning.
I'm getting there.
_ _ All right.
Grant Geisman, [A#] Socks and Wise, right here in the room.
That was amazing.
That was great.
Wow. _ _ _ _ _
