Hey guys, Randall Del Cid here.
So for the last 12 days of our Kickstarter, we are going to do 12 videos
as a countdown to the very last day.
So yesterday's video was day 12, and it was a live
[E] recording of one of the brand new songs that's gonna be on the record.
[Bm] If you didn't see it, you should check it out.
[E] I'm gonna try to put it like [Fm] here, if I can figure that out in editing.
Otherwise, I'm just an idiot holding up her hands, and [A] it'll be in the description.
So for today,
I thought I would [Abm] do 11 [Ab] things about me that you probably don't know.
So thing number one, I really enjoy
Chinese buffet.
There's this one particular Chinese buffet that I am at like almost every day.
Maybe not quite that frequently, but frequently enough that the hostess
knows my face pretty well, and is actually maybe a little bit concerned that I'm there so much.
I should probably stop doing that if I want to live past like 29.
But not for now.
For now, I have no [N] willpower.
One little known fact about me is that I'm kind of an incredible dancer.
I think I particularly look the best when I'm only seen for short periods of time, and there's no music in the background.
It's when I really shine.
Yeah, I'm a pretty terrible dancer.
But I mean like when do you really need to be a good dancer in life?
Like just wedding receptions, and no one remembers anyway
the next day.
Number three, I like to play chess in bars.
Tony usually joins me, and I don't know,
it's something about having a nice beer or a glass of wine and then playing chess in this setting where like mostly people
don't do that.
The only downside is that usually you get some sort of
group of drunken fools that come over and say, wow you ladies are playing chess in a bar.
I should probably bother you.
That would be the one bad thing about it.
But other than that, it's it's really a fun tradition Tony and I have got have going.
I have recently gotten into running.
So I am not a natural runner.
I'm pretty bad at it.
When I first started I got
most of the way down the block and then
[Em] and then walked home.
And I've come a little ways since then.
I am working up to two miles, and I went and got running shoes like fitted to me,
which is a really weird experience.
I don't know if you've ever done that.
You go in and they like film you on a treadmill, and then they slow down the footage for you, and then tell you like
how awkwardly you run and
your ankles roll in or [Ab] they do this thing or that thing and then you have to get special shoes like to support you.
And maybe this doesn't happen to everybody.
Maybe this is just me, but they ended up
[B] guiding me very gently toward a very expensive shoe that I didn't intend to buy.
And now every time I see my shoes sitting there,
I know [Bb] how much they cost, it [G] guilts me into running, which is really not the worst thing in the world.
My goal is to just be able to
run and enjoy it one time.
I think that'd be cool.
Or [Eb] you know more loftily run a half marathon.
But I don't know if that'll happen.
Thing number five.
I'm a Broncos fan.
I don't want to talk about [Ab] last Super Bowl.
So if I see too many comments [C] about last Super Bowl, I'm never going to share a personal thing with you guys again.
That's not true because I do.
I share my most personal things with you guys.
They're my songs.
[Gb] Thing six.
I really like video games.
Ever since I was a little kid.
I do okay.
I hold my own.
I used to, [Cm] my username used to be librarygirl88.
There's just something really hilarious about like when you when you successfully kill somebody in a video game.
And they're on the other [Em] end with their like headset and they're like some like guy that takes it really seriously.
And then they just got pwned by [Cm] librarygirl88.
That's my favorite feeling.
[N] Thing seven.
I am slightly pigeon-toed.
This is something that was a lot worse when I was a kid.
And I've kind of grown out of it a little bit.
But yet another [B] thing that makes me the cool person I am.
My favorite animal [Db] kind of [N] oddly is
the raccoon.
And this is like a really recent thing.
I just suddenly got into raccoons because I found these videos called the Fred the Friendly Raccoon series on YouTube.
[Ab] This thing is just so damn cute.
I [N] can't get enough of this raccoon.
And I learned all kinds of things about raccoons lately that they have like taste buds in their paws.
There's so much to learn about raccoons.
I'm not gonna bore you with it.
Check out Fred though.
He's just oh my god.
I'm right-handed.
That's not an interesting thing.
But I'm left-handed.
Very left-handed with other things.
So that's kind of weird.
I can't shoot pool with my right hand.
It has to do with my left hand.
So when I'm really bad at something
I always think like maybe I should try my left hand and usually it doesn't work out.
So the last thing.
It's a more personal one I guess.
I struggle pretty
severely with anxiety.
I've
dealt with anxiety since I was in high school.
And it's been really interesting on tours because it gets a lot worse when I'm on the road.
But oddly enough the thing that really cures anxiety for me is playing music.
So I'll just be like a wreck in the car having [B] panic attacks and then I'll get up on stage and then suddenly I'm fine.
Which is really convenient considering the career I picked.
So
anxiety is not fun.
It really sucks.
[N] But you know the more I hear from
other artists and
particularly artists and creative [Bm] types like writers and
[E] musicians it seems like it's like particularly prevalent in that community.
So I don't think I'm alone.
So that's kind of cool.
So there you have it.
Eleven things about Raina Del Cid that you probably didn't know but maybe could have guessed a couple of them.
If you haven't checked out our Kickstarter, if you haven't pledged,
please do that.
We really need you.
It doesn't matter what [Bm] amount.
Just anything really helps.
I believe we can make it to our goal, but we're a long ways away and we've got 11 days.
Share it with your friends [B] and I really appreciate your support and
stay tuned for [F] tomorrow's video.
We've got 10 more coming.
So
it'll be a good time.
Alright.
Thanks guys.
