As I said at the beginning of the program, we are the 257th Army Band, also known as
the Band of the Nation's Capital, and we represent the District of Columbia National Guard.
We are part-time at this.
Many used to be full-time but [Eb] are now serving part-time.
So our mission is to support the troops of the D.C. National Guard, and [Bb] then a couple
weeks out of the year, such as right now, [N] we're very involved with community relations concerts.
So we've been playing all over the Washington, Baltimore area.
We also played out of town.
Last [Eb] week, we went to a couple of towns in Pennsylvania, and every time we go there,
we find that the polkas are very, very popular.
So we thought we'd bring it back with us.
And for this polka, we're going to bring out the entire clarinet section.
There's going to be a little bonus [Ab] at the end as well.
Feel free to clap along.
Just have a good time.
Are [N] you having a good time so far tonight?
Great.
So, ladies and gentlemen, this is the clarinet polka.
