[G] I just wanted to show a little bit more on Skrug style or three finger [G#m] style bluegrass
banjo techniques on acoustic guitar.
The tune I just played is called Foggy Mountain [F#] Breakdown.
For guitar players, [G] you may not know the tune so well, but for banjo players this would
be a much played favorite.
So Skrug style again is three fingers.
I'm wearing picks and it's roll patterns.
So I'm going to try to show you a little bit of how I make this happen.
Top strings are tuned like a five string [D] banjo, tuned in G tuning.
[G] D, G, B, and D.
And I'm going to try to just show you a little bit of my right hand and
my left hand at the same time.
That's why I have this weird angle going on.
[D]
[A] [C] One of [D] the ideas here is that basically a lot of times you go to the [G] D string or G string
instead [F#] of the fifth string on a five string banjo, which obviously we don't have here.
So sometimes, you know, banjo players I know, it doesn't sound like Earl, I got it, but
it's approximating that [A] style.

And I'm not going to tab it, [F#] but you can slow this down and get the finger movements.
