Shalom, I'm Jim.
To many people they call me the Shofar Man.
And today I'd like to sound for you the four Hebrew Jewish traditional sounds,
or calls, or blasts of the shofar.
The first one being the tequilla, which is a long [C#] blast.
[E] [B]
[N] The second one being the shivarim, which is three
[B] blasts.
[E]
[B] [N] The third one being the teru, which is kind of an alarming sound with nine staccato type blasts.
[B]
[G#m] [N] And the last one being the tequilla gedol, which is one long blast that gets louder.
[E]
[B]
[N]
These ancient Hebrew sounds are very important, but I think it is even more important
that as you answer the call to the sounding of the shofar,
you blow the shofar as you are led by the Holy Spirit.
[E] [Bm]
[Em]
[N] Shalom.
