[E] I [E] talked to you on a phone a few weeks [C#] ago and you were telling me about your first EP.
[E] After the first EP comes the first album and [C#m] the song She Looks So Perfect is a bit of
a rocky song.
So what is [C#] the main tone of your album?
I think that because we [A#] wrote [B] our album over a large [G#m] space of time.
We started this [F#] album December [C#]
2012.
So [A] our experience have kind of like changed how [G#m] our sound [F#] is.
[A] We've met people that have [E] influenced our sound a lot.
So it's cool to see the [G#m] change in dynamic [A] and [E] how diverse the album is.
I think She Looks So Perfect and the EP that comes along with it is a good indication.
It's a nice word.
It's like a good snapshot into what [A#] the [A] album will sound like.
[E] I think it's going to be more of the same.
[C#m] Yeah, rocky tone.
[E] Can you tell us the best thing about recording your album and the worst [C#m] one, if there is one?
The best [A] and the worst story you've got?
[E] I think the best part [F#] about recording is just [C#m] watching the song [C#] come to life.
You know what I mean?
[D#] And also when all the people who [E]
we've recorded with have been so enthusiastic about music
and they just want to make [G#] great music.
[A#] We were recording in LA once and one of the [G#m] songs, The Only Reason, that's on the EP,
[G] Michael actually [C#] recorded naked.
[E]
The worst bit about recording, [F#] it's not really a worst, [B] it's kind of like when [D] sometimes
when you're in, it's kind of like a [E] best.
When you're in the studio for like 12 hours, [A#] you need some [A] caffeine and [E] sometimes when
you have too much caffeine, you'll go really hyper [C#m] for like an hour and then [E] you'll do
lots of good stuff [E] and then you hit a wall and then you have a nap and you wake up from
the nap and it's like the worst [G#] feeling.
Like a metaphorical [E] wall, not actually running into a wall.
I mean, that would be kind of weird.
Talking about fans now, you've got plenty of them in many countries and I saw that [Bm] Ashton,
you got [C#m] kissed by one in Sweden. Yeah.
[D] What kind of relation [E] do you have with them?
Yeah, [C#] she asked for a [D#] kiss on the cheek and she [C#] turned and it was tricky [A] and kissed me
on the lips and [G#] said
I don't know.
Our relationship with the fans [A] is, you know, [A#m] we understand each other, [F] I think it's cool.
You [B] know what I think is most cool right now [E] is being over here [C#] in Europe and, [A] you know,
not all the fans speak [F#] English and they still like [D#] our band, which is [A] weird because we don't
[G#m] sing in other languages or anything like that, but [A#] they genuinely and they like our [Am] character
still [E] and they might not even understand half of the things we [C#] do, but I [A] love them for it
and [F#] yeah, we love you.
All of [C#m] you then.
