[G#] [N] What's going on guys DJ Av here and I missed you.
Crap Tendo.
But anyways, we're going to talk about 5 different ways to get reverse melodies in FL Studio
like Pierre Bourne or Trippie Redd or whoever.
You can do it.
And shout out to BassGutter because I remember him doing a tutorial which I did watch where
he did the reverse melody stuff.
So yes, I would like to give props to him for doing that before I did this video.
[F]
And let's move forward from there.
Alright, so now we're in FL Studio and I have a demo track that I'm going to play real quick.
So this way that you'll understand how it sounds before it's reversed.
[Em]
[F] [C]
So from here, all we're going to do is go to the master track which is [F#] already by default.
By pressing just F9 will get you to this mixer.
And now we're just going to press Shift E to pull up Edison.
That'll be a quick way to pull up Edison.
Check all the options.
All the options should be the same when you do the Shift E thing.
But [G#] from here, you're going to go ahead and [N] just make sure that it says on play and all [G#m] that
so you can get the song jumps.
And [F#] then from here, you're just going to press play because both of these transports are linked to each other.
That's what this means.
[N] So let's go ahead and play it in [F] there.
[Em]
[F] [C]
[F] [Em]
[F] [Em]
[C] [F] [D#]
So from there, I'm just going to go ahead and disarm recording.
Then turn that off so it doesn't play in between like sample or whatnot.
So you're going to press Control and left click on that song jump so you can get rid of that extra space that you had.
That's [F] why it's important to [Fm] do on play for this.
And then, you know, you have it right here.
So from here, you're going to pull up [A#m] like [F#] a empty sampler.
[A#m] Just select none.
You can either replace or add.
It doesn't [A#] matter which way you do that.
[C] Pull up [A#m] the sampler.
[C] And from [G] here, you're just going to go ahead and pull it as in.
I [F#] mean, we'll pull it to the sampler.
[A#] [G] And then you're [Cm] going to press [Fm] reverse.
And that's pretty much it [F#] there.
I'm going to go ahead and mute the [A#] original line.
And then I'm going [G] to put [F] a [A#m] step in so it will [Cm] initiate [F#m] that.
[C]
So [Em] [F] [Em]
[F]
[C] [F] [C]
[F]
that's pretty cool that you can [N] do it that way.
[Bm] For this next step here, what I'm going to [A#m] do is first make [B] sure that it's not [A#m] muted or anything like that.
[Bm]
And [F#] then we're going to [Bm] assign the plug [C#]-in or that particular line [B] that plays [Em] to [F]
[F#] mute the other [Fm] one.
But anyways, so you're going to go ahead and play.
[C#]
Make sure that you check and see if it is.
Then we're going to go to assign this to a track here.
So it's on track three now.
And then I'm going to go ahead and select this right here means record.
So I'm going to select that.
And then I'm going to press this recording render to wave from that drop down menu.
From here, I am going to press start or background rendering depends on what you want to do.
[F#]
It's not going to take long from here.
And we're going to check the playlist here.
[B] Click the playlist because it has to be on playlist mode.
It has to have this in there.
If I didn't clarify.
[A#m] And now you have that in here.
So I'm going to go ahead and go back.
[Bm] Mute and then [A#m] play it [B] [A#m] here.
[B] [A#m]
[F] OK, [Em]
[F#] so it's not reverse, right?
But yeah, this way, you know, you can just still do it.
But it's already in the playlist.
So that way you don't have to [B] go and drop the audio in [F#] that way.
[Em] And you can further augmentate that.
That's [Bm] my way of doing it.
This next way of doing it, it's actually pretty easy to do.
What I'm going to do is just go and select that particular track that has that audio.
And I am going to select gross beat.
And what gross beat is going to do is I am going to select reverse from here.
I don't really remember which preset it is.
I think it might be momentary where you can just do a reverse.
Yes, it is.
So I'm going to do reverse that way.
[F#]
[F] [Em]
[F] [C]
[Bm] And you know how it has that little weird mute part in the beginning.
And what it's doing is it's recording the audio in.
So that's another way to do it.
But, yeah, it's not as efficient as just like bouncing down your audio.
But it's pretty, it's just another different way to do that.
[F#m] Another one, of course, I'm going to [Bm] use Effectrix for it.
So I'm going to replace gross beat for Effectrix because Effectrix actually has a reverse option as well.
[F] [Em]
[F] [C]
[F] [Em]
[F] [Em] It
[C] [Bm] doesn't sound as efficient.
It seems a little wavery.
But, yeah, there's still another way to do like a reverse.
All right, [D] so last but not least, we have this right here.
[E] And this way of doing it is ShaperBox.
[Bm] And we're going to pull up ShaperBox.
And, you know, I got TimeShaper in here.
I'm going to go ahead and delete that so you can see how ShaperBox looks.
So you have to have TimeShaper.
Then press Add.
From here, you're going to go and click on this area right here, which gives you all your reverse effects.
[F#m] So we're going to hear how that sounds [Bm] now.
[F]
[Em] [F]
[C]
[F] [Em]
[D]
[Em]
[F] [C]
[F] [E]
[F] [Em]
[C] Yeah, so that's some pretty impressive [Bm] reverse presets there for you already.
So, yeah, anyways, so that's about it, guys.
I hope [E] you enjoyed that.
[Bm] And that [F#m] is five different ways to do reverse like Pierre Bourne or [Bm] Trippy Red's type music beats, whatever.
So just let me know if you want me to do one for Ableton because I definitely would do one.
I don't know necessarily for any other DAWs, but, you know, I'm pretty sure it's easy to do just like in here.
Anyways, I'm DJ Av, and I hope you [F#m] enjoyed [D] that tutorial.
Stamp time.
Later, guys.

[F] [Em]

_ _ _ [F#] _
_ [F] _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ _ [C] _ _ _ _ _
_ [Bm] And you know how it has that little weird _ mute part in the beginning.
And what it's doing is it's recording the audio in.
So that's another way to do it.
But, yeah, it's not as efficient as just like bouncing down your audio.
But it's pretty, _ it's just another different way to do that.
[F#m] Another one, of course, I'm going to [Bm] use Effectrix for it.
_ So I'm going to replace gross beat for Effectrix because Effectrix actually has a reverse option as well.
_ [F] _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [F] _ _ [C] _ _ _
_ _ [F] _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _
_ _ _ [F] _ _ [Em] It _
_ [C] _ _ _ [Bm] doesn't sound as efficient.
It seems a little _ wavery.
_ But, yeah, there's still another way to do like a reverse.
_ All right, [D] so last but not least, we have this right here.
[E] And this way of doing it is ShaperBox.
[Bm] _ And we're going to pull up ShaperBox.
And, you know, I got TimeShaper in here.
_ I'm going to go ahead and delete that so you can see how ShaperBox looks.
So you have to have TimeShaper.
Then press Add.
From here, you're going to go and click on this area right here, which gives you all your reverse effects.
[F#m] So we're going to hear how that sounds [Bm] now.
[F] _ _ _
_ [Em] _ _ _ _ _ _ [F] _
_ [C] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ _ _ _ [Em] _ _ _
_ [D] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [Em] _ _
_ [F] _ _ _ [C] _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ _ _ [E] _ _ _ _
_ [F] _ _ _ _ _ [Em] _ _
[C] _ _ _ Yeah, so that's some pretty impressive [Bm] reverse _ presets there for you already.
I don't know necessarily for any other DAWs, _ but, you know, I'm pretty sure it's easy to do just like in here.
Anyways, I'm DJ Av, and I hope you [F#m] enjoyed [D] that tutorial.
Stamp time.
Later, guys.
Tramp Tendo.
