_ _ Lick number 18 I call Classic SRV because lots of times you hear a song that was more
of a major feel, like Lenny or if he covered Little Wing or some kind of major sounding
tune like that, that almost sounded more like a rock song or something that wasn't necessarily
a 1-4-5 or a shuffle or a blues tune.
It would have this sort of major sound, but he would kind of play minor over it and it would work.
We're going to do that with this lick here and again I would reference songs like Lenny
or his cover of Little Wing to kind of get this idea.

of subtleness that he plays some of these licks with throughout these next few bars.
_ This is E minor pentatonic again and we're going to start with [Em] a heavy dose of vibrato
on the third string here on this G.
_ _ And kind of this subtle pull off. _ _ _ _
So it's going to [E] go _ vibrato, _ _
[B] _ [A] _ _ _ _ [D] _ _
[Em] pull off 14-12, [E] _ _ [B] _ same move on the fifth [E] string.
So fourth, [Am] fifth. _ _
Then what we're going to do is we're going to slide into the 14th fret, third string
[D#] _
and [Em] repeat that move again, [Am] _ except play this little chromatic [B] run in there [A] too.

_ _ [Am] _ [F#] _ _ So some really [Em] cool, kind of silky phrasing that he has here.
It just moves in and out of the scale.

_ _ [G] _ Now on the third time, we're going to do that slide in again.
_ _ _ We're going to grab a double stop 12th fret, _ [E] _ _ _ _ [A] _ _
_ [E] little simplistic run there, [Em] _ _ _

step bend, hammer on pull off or not. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ So far we have another _

_ _ _ _ [G] _ _ double stop toggle, _ _ _ [D] blues bend, [Em] _ _ _ typical riff, 14th fret bend,
whole step.

that kind of punchy sixth _ _ _ triplet-y sort of deal. _ _

So 15th fret, second string bend, _ _ _ _ [G] little wiggle vibrato with your first finger, [N] _
and you're
going to play a little teeny weeny quarter step again and mute with your right hand.
