[E] I started playing guitar [Ebm] when I was nine.
My parents owned the only [Ab] coffee shop in town, the town that I'm from called Pine Top, [Gb] Arizona.
It was called More More Coffee and it had the only stage in town for live music.
So when I was nine, the first song [Ab] I learned was Blowing in the Wind on guitar and I started
writing songs at 12.
I learned [Db] theory.
So that was just kind of my inspiration, being in the coffee [Abm] house, feeling [E] like I could
be whatever, sound whoever I wanted to.
[Dbm] So yeah, I owe a lot to my [Abm] environment.

[Gb] [Dbm] Finding [E]
my voice as an artist [Gb] has been a progression.
[Abm] I don't think even [Ab] now I feel like, oh, I [Abm] found it.
[Gb] Because I think that's [Eb] when everything [Abm] becomes dull.
I think the second that you feel like you've found your greatness, it's not really relatable
anymore by people.
[E] So I think I'm still searching, [Bb] I'm still finding, and I'm taking you [Dbm] on the journey
of [Abm] that process.
[E] [Bb] I actually get to [Ab]
change my [Em] laundry from [B] the washer to the dryer, which I never get to
do on the road, so this is a very [Bb] special thing.
I'll tell you one [B] thing that sucks about tour is traveling [Bb] with dirty panties in your suitcase.
[Abm] Not cool.
[G] Home!
When I go home to LA, everything [E] that was so simple and that I took for granted before
like [Dbm] doing laundry, or [Eb] making food in the kitchen, [Abm] or even going in my backyard and
just [Eb] sitting there.
All of those things we don't even think about because they're a [Dbm] part of our everyday and
[Eb] those things are fleeting [E] on tour.
And so coming to a place like [Abm] this, it is a home away from home.
[F] I wish you guys had one of these in every [Eb] major city, because I would [Abm] definitely be
hitting you up for that all the [Gb] time.
[Dbm] Because to come here and have my clothes in the [E] washing machine and [Abm] to feel [Gb] like I don't
have [Ab] somebody above me or somebody below me, it's a completely different vibe.
It's so quiet.
I'm in a neighborhood here.
It's nice.
[Dbm] I feel a little bit more [Ebm] peaceful today going into the show tonight.
And I won't follow [Gb] you.
[B] I [Abm] want to be [Db] a respected [Gb] artist and musician.
[Ebm] I don't want there to be any [Gb]
confusion [C] as to whether or not I was writing my own [Ab] songs
or whether or not I could really [Eb] sing them.
I want at least one song to resonate with [Bb] somebody for their whole life.
That's what I want.
[Ab] I want my music to mark [Gb] times and places in people's lives.
I don't want there to be any question of if I was creating or not, [B] because I definitely am.
