Yeah, Happiness Actors was one of the first.
[F#m] Right _ [G#] away we felt like that [B] was going to be a song that connected.
[F#m] This song means a lot to us.
[B] It's a lot about our career and [Bm] the choices we've had to make [E] sometimes.
[F#m] _ _ [Bm] For the better of the band, is it better for your family?
[A] It's sort of a bigger question [F#m] about the [D] dreams you're chasing after.
[B] _ _ _ _ [F#m] _ _ [D] It's [B] a different record for us.
I feel like every record [D] we've done has been different.
But this one was [F#m] extremely different for us.
From minute [G] one and all the way to the end, [D] it was just a crazy different record.
[F#m] All of our family was [E] like, [A]
this doesn't sound like you guys.
[F#m] For us, it's definitely [A] us.
It's just a new chapter and new things.
We definitely [F#] had the [E] doubts and the butterflies whether [A] or not people were going to respond to it.
It's [Bm] like that text you reread [E] like ten times before you [F#m] send it.
You're like, I don't know how this [G] is going to be received.
[B] We rented a house in [A] the mountains and stayed there for two weeks.
_ All of the songs we've written on the road, we just _ piled them up and tried to play them live and try to experiment.
We had [F#m] four different recording stations [B] so that at any point in the day,
whether it be eating [D] breakfast or at night, [B] having a snack,
you'd hear somebody playing something [Bm] downstairs that was like a picture you hear.
[E] So we'd [F#m] run down and be like, oh, I've got this idea.
Bounce from room to room.
It [Bm] was just a constant [A] _
wheelhouse of inspiration.
[F#m] _ It was just a fun [A] process.
We felt like we were really capturing [F#m] the moment [G] and being really [A] excited about the songs.
All that stuff happened [F#m] extremely quick.
A lot of the [A] songs ended up making the record.
It was probably the [D] heart of what [E] the whole [F#m] project is about.

_ We're going out for several months this fall for Tour des Compadres 2016.
_ _ That was our most [F#] successful tour we'd ever done last [Bm] year when we did that Tour des [A] Compadres tour.
This time we've got Matt Carney with [F#m] us, Parachute, John [Em]-Marco Millan.
[F#m] It's going to be a lot of [Em] fun.
Touring with our friends [A] is something that was [Bm] an idea that we've had for a while.
What if we just [A] tour with the people that we grew up with [C#] or people we respect [F#m] and now we've become friends [E] with?
It's a [A] process, and it does make touring [F#m] a lot of fun.
_ You don't have to [A] develop relationships.
You're right in the thick [F#m] of it, and we're having a ton of fun [E] backstage.
We can collaborate [A] onstage and make [F#m] crazy videos.
Just [E] have a lot of fun with it.
[A] The set list is really tough to [Bm] finagle.
You know people are going to want to hear certain [F#m] songs.
_ [D] I think we're going to [B] attempt to play those [A] songs really, really fast.
No, I'm kidding.
_ _ We're doing some medleys and trying to tie in some old songs [N] with the new songs.
We might go off for a bridge and hit another chorus from another song.
That's kind of fun to interweave those songs.
[A] When we get out to the audience and the crowd and get [C#m] to share that moment with them, [B] it kind of makes it special.
[A] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ I've got a one-and-a-half-year-old. _
_ _ [E] It was [F#m] something I started with my four-year-old [E] about [A] that same time.
[Bm] He's kind of reluctant to do new things, [A] and sometimes he gets overwhelmed by situations.
_ [C#] [F#m] So I started doing this little thing of, [E] like, good [A] things happen when you try.
_ So any time you do something, you sing to him and make it a celebration.
Then [F#m] at the end of the day, [D] we would jump on [A] the bed and I'd throw him around and say, good things happen when you [F#m] try.
_ [E] So he [A] started processing that and [D] realized that when he did something, that at the end [F#m] of the day we're going to celebrate.
So now I'm [D] doing that with my one-and-a-half-year-old, and he probably gets it.
[A] So he'd jump on the bed and he's like, I tried.
_ [F#m] But yeah, he knows when he's _ [C#m] done something that he [A] was reluctant to.
It's kind of cool.
It's amazing what they're actually [D] processing at that age.
Yeah.
[A] Good things happen when we try.
