in Cape Town. _

_ [G] And _ [Bb] because when [A] the Group Areas Act [Gb] came into
power, _ _ people were forcibly [Gm] removed, _ _ like from District [G] 6, which was the center.
_ In
fact, in the [Gb] city, was a _ section of Cape Town, the city of Cape Town where our people lived.
And the Group Areas Act came into effect, people were thrown out.
And the first group
of people that went, went, for example, to Bonteheuvel, [Ab] and later on to [Db] Manenberg. _ _
So
Basil, for example, an old friend of ours and [G] musician, tenor player, _
[Ab] moved from District
6.
[G] The family was forced to move to Manenberg.
[Dbm] We went in the recording studio, [Bb] and we had
rehearsed a few, a lot of other pieces.
And during an intermission, I saw this, we [Ab] were
recording on a [Bb] grand piano.
There was a little upright [G] piano standing, and I went over to
him and touched it, and he said, ah, this [Gb] is another sound.
[Bb] [Eb] They had a tact, you know,
you put, you put [A] tacts on the, on the hammer of the, [G] of the piano.
That's why upright piano
is perhaps sometimes better [Gm] than a _ _ [Eb] grand piano, because the [Db] sound hits right back to you,
[Gb] [A] back at you.
And you play the sound, and I said, ah, what's, and then this [Bb] piece came.
