You may want to send [N] that back out, that sheet.
Don't ask Shannon and Jared about being brothers.
Don't ask about how [C] the name came up.
What's your favorite pre-show ritual?
And no [B] synonyms with fruit.
Is that the right word?
[C] No, uh
We're just joking.
Love, Lust, Faith, and Dreams is an album about exactly those four things.
It's a concept record, not a traditional narrative, [G] but a concept record about what I think are
the four elements of life itself, you know?
The equivalent of earth, wind, water, fire.
I think Love, Lust, Faith, and Dreams [Bb] are four things that you can't live [G] without.
They are essential ingredients in life itself.
[Ab] This is an examination of those four things and how
[Bb] the interplay [A] between them, the experience
[Bb] of them, [E] exists for me and for us in our [Bb] lives.
I think that this album is transformative in that it's not just a rock record.
And I do believe that.
I think that it's more expansive than that.
It's not just guitars, bass, and drums.
[G]
It's quite a bit [F] more than that.
And that's what we set out to do.
[Ebm] Is this bigger?
No, it doesn't have to be bigger.
It could be smaller.
[G] [E] As we think of this album as a new [D] beginning, it feels like [Am] our last album, This Is War,
was the end of one era and this is the beginning [D] of another.
Which is a good place to feel, [C] a good place to be when you've made four albums.
Absolutely.
[E] We sent our song to space [Gm] because we wanted to celebrate this chapter of our lives.
We wanted to do something different.
We wanted to dream bigger.
[E] And it was the experience of a lifetime.
I'm so glad [Gm] that we did it.
We worked with a wonderful group of people.
People that are dedicated [D] to spending their lives making the impossible possible.
I don't know what the future holds.
We're so focused right now on Love, Lust, Faith, and Dreams.
It just came [Ab] out four weeks ago.
And it's getting a great response so we're really happy [D] about that.
We feel really fortunate to have so many committed, passionate people around the world that are
supporting us, that believe.
It's really wonderful.
When you make music, you make things, you make art, and you share it with people, it's a [E] conversation.
So it's nice to have [Abm]
a two-way conversation, I suppose or not.
If I had one thing to say, I would say thank [D] you.
We love you guys.
We're so appreciative of you.
We're so excited to be here tonight [Gm] playing an intimate show.
Hope to be back very, very soon.
Thanks for everything.
