We're just joking. _
_ _ _ _ Love, Lust, Faith, and Dreams is an album _ _ _ about exactly those four things.
It's a concept record, not a traditional narrative, [G] but a concept record about what I think are
the four elements of life itself, you know?
_ _ _ The equivalent of earth, wind, water, fire.
I think Love, Lust, Faith, and Dreams [Bb] are four things that you can't live [G] without.
They are essential ingredients in life itself. _ _
[Ab] This is an examination of those four things and how _
_ _ [Bb] the interplay [A] between them, the experience
[Bb] of them, _ _ _ [E] exists for me and for us in our [Bb] lives. _
I think that this album _ is _ _ transformative _ _ in that it's not just a rock _ record.
And _ I do believe that.
I think that _ _ it's more expansive than that.
It's not just guitars, bass, and drums.

It's quite a bit [F] more than that.
_ And that's what we set out to do. _ _ _ _ _
[Ebm] Is this bigger?
_ No, it doesn't have to be bigger.
It could be smaller.
_ _ [G] _ [E] As we think of this album as a new [D] beginning, _ it feels like [Am] our last album, This Is War,
was the end of one era and this is the beginning [D] of another.
Which is a good place to feel, [C] a good place to be when you've made four albums.
Absolutely.
[E] We sent our song to space _ [Gm] because we wanted to celebrate this chapter of our lives.
We wanted to do something different.
We wanted to dream bigger.
_ _ _ _ [E] And it was the experience of a lifetime.
I'm so glad [Gm] that we did it.
We worked with a wonderful group of people. _ _ _
People that are _ dedicated [D] to spending _ their lives making the impossible possible. _
I don't know what the future holds. _ _
We're so focused right now on Love, Lust, Faith, and Dreams.
It just came [Ab] out four weeks ago.
And it's getting a great response so we're really happy [D] about that.
_ We feel really fortunate to have _ so many committed, passionate people around the world that are
supporting us, that believe.
_ It's really wonderful.
When you make _ _ music, you make things, you make art, _ _ and you share it with people, it's a [E] conversation.
