but I know that like I

They kept the drive for me to [Eb] keep using drug was just the way that obviously I felt when I was using drugs
You know getting on stage and just feeling it, you know invincible when I would obviously shoot up, you know
the way I feel on heroin is just

You know feeling it you [Eb] you can't be touched, you know
You're everything you're doing in that moment is like it's perfect
So I think that's what just kept me to keep [Cm] using using but then after a while [Eb] I wasn't I wasn't using like that anymore
I was just using to the to [Cm] get like
Well, so I would just get sick.
So and at that point it was like it was over for me
It was like [Ab] it wasn't really working out like the like [Fm] using and using using just didn't really
[Cm] seem fun anymore, so
_ [Eb] That's why I started using I would say everyone uses I think it's [Ab] gonna be fun, you know
[F] It's a grand time while you're doing it and then you start [Fm] doing it and it just turns [Eb] out to be the worst thing
In the world once it ends.
I'm not a big program program guy, you know, I have a lot of trouble It's weird
I can sing to thousands of people but trying to talk to like a group of ten people
About something like that was just really really hard for me.
I was struggling with it.

_ What I found most helpful to myself, you know, obviously was just staying focused on my music, you know at first
I used to just get on stage and sing and be fucked up
So it took a long time for me to try and get back to that point where I was able [E] to get back on
Stage and get back to singing [Cm] without being you know under a substance
But that's really what helped me the most [Eb] was just playing and keeping myself, you know
[Ab] Keep myself on [Eb] on point in that aspect [Fm] making sure that I could
Get up there and do the [Cm] same things I used to high
That's what kind of kept me going [Eb] my drive was to get clean and kind of stay that [Fm] way.
I was in Canada
for them out my last little run I was visiting my mom and
[F] Obviously I was staying with her [Eb] and I would just leave and go get fucked up and then I will come back [Cm] and like I
would be like passing out like breakfast like falling asleep and like my eggs and shit and
_ [Eb] After a couple times my mom just texted me and she [Gm] was like, you know, you can't come home
[E] _ Because you're making you know, you're making my husband [Fm] uncomfortable.
You're making me uncomfortable [Eb] and
People [Cm] I was staying with I stayed there for like two months.
Everything's cool
[Eb] And then they started to get clean and they were like, [Ab] you know
You got to do something or you can't stay here anymore
[F] And I kind of took advantage of [Fm] a bad situation for a little [Ab] too long and they were like, you know
You got to go or we love you to [Eb] death, but we can't have you here anymore
And I hit my [Ab] mom back up and she pretty much just straight told me she was like, you know
Go [F] sleep with a [D] homeless shelter [Ab] and that kind of hit me a little hard
You know, that's your mom telling you to [Eb] fucking you know, go go be a bum
[A] So that [D] that's what kind of really gave me [Cm] that kick
I was really confused as to [Eb] you know, someone that you know birthed you and shit you grew up with your [E] whole life
[Eb] didn't didn't want you [Fm] around and
That's that's pretty much where [Cm] I called my manager and just said, you know, I gotta go
[Eb] To rehab and I was in rehab the next day

you know tour it's weird, but touring is
_ It [B] really helps me because [Eb] uh, my biggest problem is being bored when I get bored, obviously
_ I'm you know, I think about using drugs because I got nothing to do.
I'm like man.
I wouldn't be so bored if I was high
So obviously like touring right [Gm] now
it helps me stay focused and you know, the show wasn't just the preparation getting my set together [Ab] just
Using that whole left side of your brain, you know organizing and shit like [Eb] that.
That's what really really [Cm] keeps me on
No, _ _ [Eb] I said this a bunch of times in a bunch of interviews
[Ab] even if I don't you know make it even [F] if like I
Relapse or like, you know, I start using [Ab] drugs again
I just I'm out here right now just to show kids that [Cm] like
You don't have to be fucked up to like enjoy your life
You don't have to be on a [Bb] substance to do, [G] you know
What you love or try and do [Fm] what you love so [Cm] even if I don't [Bb] stay clean
I just want to be out here showing kids that you know
[Cm] You can be sober and enjoy what you're doing
You [Eb] can be sober and like go to a show or [Ab] you know
Go out to a [F] party and just hang out with friends.
You [Fm] don't have to be fucked up to have a good time
so I think that's the biggest [Ab] message I can give right now is just _
[Eb] You know stay stay sober for yourself
[Ab] It was it was tough at first and I [Fm] think you know, obviously a lot of people addicts

That's that's a big a really big part of them not wanting to get clean
It's because you know, they think about all the fucked up shit
They've done to the people that they've done it to and you know
Obviously you do something really fucked up to someone you don't you don't want to have to think about going back and being like

Obviously, you know being myself.
I had a lot of people who apologized to a lot of you know
A lot [Cm] of things to do but I I just I took it a day at a [Eb] time man
You know, I did what I could and I tried to make [Cm] amends for what I did
To the people that I could and [Eb] most people, you know received it.
Well, obviously some people [Ab] were like fuck you, you know
It's still a piece of shit

You know, obviously a lot of negative stuff
[Cm] So what I what I just did was, you know, I thought I found what I love and I just I just [D] went for it
I focused [Eb] on it.
That's that's just the biggest thing I can say is just like find your niche, you know
Find what you love finally love be creative about and just go with it just try and you know [Dbm] release
Let that [Cm] be a release, you know, let all your feelings flow through that let [Eb] let all that negative bullshit
[Fm] be that be for the birds and shit, you know just

But [D] to me that it made sense when I read it and that's how I felt was like

And I think if someone finds that [Eb] what it can it be anything, you know a job they love whatever as long as you're happy
With yourself.
