I was [C]

[F] [C]
[F] [C]
[F] [C] throttled to [F] the ground.
I [C] was locked inside [F] a basement.
[E] The guards went on [A] vacation while I [F] plotted my [G] revolt.
[C] I was tired and [F] confused.
[C] Doesn't look like that [F] it's changing.
[B] I'm a
[Am] hallucination of [F] myself at three [G] years old.
[Dm]
[D] Goodbye, oh [C] goodbye.
[F] [Dm]
[D] Goodbye, oh [C] goodbye.
[F] [C]
[F] [C] You were perched atop [F] my shoulder.
[C] You were pecking at [F] my head.
And if [E] I had a hole [A] to crawl in, I [F] would be there and [G] be dead.
[C] You were spilling all [F] my will out.
[E] I was bleeding my [A] last brains.
[Dm] It's nothing like [E] the nothingness [A] that normally comes with [E] pain.
[Dm]
[D] Goodbye, oh [C] goodbye.
[F] [Dm]
[D] Goodbye, oh [F] goodbye.
[C] [F]
[Am] [F]
[C] [E]
[F] Seventh grade [G] was hard enough.
[E] Someone thought [F] that they knew me.
If I stay in [G] bed long enough, [E] they'll go to church [A] without [G] me.
[D] If I move [G] away enough, [C] they won't have [F] me.
Goodbye, [G] oh [E] goodbye.
Goodbye, oh [F] goodbye.
Goodbye, oh [G] goodbye.
Goodbye, [B] oh [A] goodbye.
Goodbye, [G] oh goodbye.

[Eb] That was actually the one.
Yay!
[N]
This is going to be my [Abm] fifth year.
[B]
[C] With unique and creative projects like this, there's so many moving parts, it can be a real challenge.
But man, at the end of the day, it is so gratifying.
I can't believe we pulled this off.
This is amazing.
[F] It's like a part [C]-time gig.
The video is cool and everything, but normally I don't do chicken stuff.
I'm just trying to pay [Em] my bills.
We don't usually dance in our videos, [E] but we got to work with one of the best choreographers in L.A.
He [D] really took the time to stick with us until we [C] got all the moves down.
Yeah, I mean, [F] they pulled it off.
I would have [C] liked the dancing to have been a little [F] more impressive, a little better.
But [E] I went to school for this.
I've been doing it [Am] 15 years.
[F] So there's a moment in the video where we get really [G] close in on the singer, and a lot of people [Dm] might think that's a zoom.
But in [D] actuality, we use a piece of equipment [C] called a dolly.
And this is just like [F] a smooth surface that lets us [Dm] move the camera in closer.
[D] And it's just really fun and [F] interesting.
So there's actually an Easter egg in there for the really hardcore fans that most people aren't going to notice.
When they did the close-up of Sean, [C] Mark and I, we actually changed [F] T-shirts.
So if you look at it [Dm] before and after, the color of our [D] T-shirts actually does change.
All right, [C] let's grab some lunch.
Good work.
[F] This took six months to plan.
[Dm] Getting the cast, getting the crew, getting [A] the dance moves.
And then [F] that was all a real challenge.
And [Am] then Soylent stepped it up and really made [F] it.
This song and their brand [Am] is like a perfect marriage.
And being able to incorporate it in the video was just a dream come true.
[Em] We get that.
[Gb] It's great.
[F] The director just stuck with us [G] for the entire process.
I think [E] he's really going to get his movement with this one.
He's [F] coming to his own a lot.
It takes about 10 to 20 minutes to pick up all the [G] balls.
But it's worth it because it [E] looks really cool.
[A] It feels great to knock this out [D] of the park.
We had a rocky start.
[G] You had me a little worried, but we pulled through.
[C] [F] Cut!
You know, I did have my fair share of trouble with the tire at first.
But when you're making a video that [G] has this many moving parts, no one can expect [B] you to be perfect.
Yeah, we want [G] to thank the [D] crew and Soylent and everybody [Gb] involved.
This has been a really [C] amazing experience.
I think it's the best video we've ever made.
