Aldo Miola specifically, he's here tonight.
What does he mean to you?
How has he influenced you?
Well, a lot, especially in my playing.
He's been, since my rock years, what I learned a lot from his video tutorials that he used to have.
I mute a lot the strings, you know, all the scales, and that's because of Ali's technique.
I mean, my playing, he's been very, very influential, more than my rock and roll, heavy metal heroes, you know,
because I spent a lot of time, after I left the electric guitar playing, trying to play what I tried to do with electric in acoustic,
and I found Aldo's techniques pretty similar, and so that's why I practice more, using his videos and all that,
and it's a pleasure knowing that he's here and he recognizes our work, and it's like, yeah, it's incredible.
Great, Gabriela, can I ask you the same question?
Aldo Miola, what does he mean to you?
Yeah, well, Aldo Miola, to me, is one of the greatest composers of this era.
He also not just composed amazing music, but also is an incredible player, and very unique.
He has come up with new techniques that they've never been done before, so he's truly a pioneer of all these new crazy ideas.
Every album he has is different from the other albums, he also played electric bands, he also played tango music,
and he has these symphony albums, the World Symphony and all those, which are incredibly different from one another,
yet they're super powerful, and I think for me and Rodrigo Aldo Miola, to have met him, it's incredible,
because as we said before, we are not coming from Berklee or any of those schools, we're rock and rollers, really.
And also, it's a pleasure to have him in this gig in Paris, and we're looking forward to jam with him.
