What about Woodstock?
I was there in a [E] helicopter.
I thought people would go up and say, you know I was in Woodstock.
I said, so was I.
[F] Yeah, Woodstock was great.
It was an amazing [A] event.
[B] But then again, it wasn't an amazing, [G#] then [A] again, nobody knew the history was being [E] made at the time.
I knew it was going to be a bit different when they told us we couldn't drive to the gig and we had to get a helicopter.
It was an open-sided helicopter, so I put on the old harness and I was leaning out, hanging out in the helicopter.
It was almost another marijuana hunt.
It was an amazing start to the day and actual memories, you know.
All day, blood, trouble, hate.
I was thinking also in terms, not just [F#m] of the gig itself, but the [E] film, which must have taken your music to enormous heights.
It was the film that in fact made the difference.
We did the festival and we were playing like two to three thousand seater kinetic [F] playground type of gigs, you know, film type of gigs.
[E]
We did Woodstock, it was an amazing event.
I had a good time there, but of course nothing of it.
And then we carried on for a year, playing two to [D] three thousand seats.
Then the movie [A] came out, when it [E] all got silly and they were playing ice [A] hockey over in this.
[E] Actually I didn't find it all [D#] that good.
I didn't [D] like it.
[F#] We were playing to security guards [E] with cotton wool in their ear and a big orchestra pit with barriers.
And it seemed to me no one was listening.
I preferred the underground phase, you know, and film type gigs.
They were more clubby.
I prefer a clubby vibe, you know.
Sweat dripping down the walls [F#] and the sound pounding on [F] the walls.
They're some of the best gigs I've ever done.
