[G] [N] Guys, we have come across some very different groups, some unique and cool groups here on
this journey that we've been on since we started this channel.
But this group we got here today may be one of the oddest, like I said, weirdly or oddly
coolest groups that we have come across.
And we're definitely excited to get into them today.
But if you guys are new here to the channel, welcome to Rob's Squad Reactions.
You are here with your boy, Jay.
Hey, y'all.
It's your girl, Amber.
And we were just sitting here talking, like, how would you describe this band?
We both came up with just odd.
They made weird really, really cool.
Now, when I think of them, I think of bands like B-52, The Cars, Weezer, you know?
Weezer, for sure.
Super creative, super weird, but somehow like some of the coolest people you've ever seen.
So today we are checking out Talking Heads and the song is, and she was.
Hey, also help us out by liking this video, hitting that subscribe button down [E] below and
turning on that post notification bell so you never miss a video.
Talking Heads and She Was.
Let's check it out.
Their videos are always cool too. I know.
You never want to miss out on their videos.
[A] [E]
[A] [E]
And [A] she was lying [E] in the grass.
And [A] she could hear the [E] highway breathing.
And [A] she could see an [E]
embalmed factory.
And [A] she's making sure [E] she is not [Dbm] dreaming.
[Bb] [F] See the lights [C] of the [F] neighbor's [Bb] house.
[C] Now she's starting [F] to run.
[Bb] [F] Taking a [C] minute to [F] concentrate.
[Bb] And she [G] opens up [C] her [E] eyes.
[A] No one was moving, [D] she was [A] right there with her.
[E] And she [A] was.
[D]
In the [A] air.
[E] No [A] one was moving, [D] she was [A] floating above her.
[E] And she [A] was.
[D]
[A] And [E] she was.
[A] [E]
[A] [E]
And [A] she was drifting [E] through the back yard.
And [A] she was taking [Dbm] off her dress.
[E] [A] And she was moving [E] very [Dbm] slowly.
[E] [A] Rising up [E] above the earth.
[Bb] [F] Moving into the universe.
[Bb] And she's.
[C] She's [F] saying hi.
[Bb] [F] Not touching the ground at [Bb] all.
She's.
[G] Up above [C] the earth.
[E] No [A] one was [D] moving, she was right [A] there with her.
And she was.
[D]
[A] [E] [A] No one was moving [D] she was [A] floating above her.
And she was.
[D] And [A] [Bm] she was.
Seeing that video, talking about how they're all this weirdly cool group.
[N] And y'all cheat.
Y'all know if they had a strong cowbell, that your boy Jay was going by.
Way to his heart is cowbell.
Man, way to my heart is cowbell for sure.
But it's quirky it's odd it's different.
And the video, like all Talk Dead videos,
it's very all over the place.
Yeah, but it always follows a concept.
Like it may seem all over the place,
but then at the end you're like, oh, like big picture,
like it all makes sense.
But David Burns is, I believe, the lead singer.
Yeah, because we talk about him a lot when we listen,
because he does sing.
And like it's really what's special about him
is his delivery, because it is so quirky.
It is so unique.
You don't hear a lot of people sing lyrics the way he does.
And that's kind of what pulls you in.
And then you add on to the fact that this song feels like,
like if a girl's like floating up above everybody,
like she's moving slow.
She started doing crazy things in the backyard, you know?
So this girl's like,
feels like she's either daydreaming or on a trip.
So it also has that type of like,
I call it like Alice in Wonderland type of feeling,
like out of this world, you know?
No, that's definitely the vibe the video gives as well.
[D]
[G] She isn't sure about what she's done.
[Bm] No time to think about it.
Words are [G] telling.
No time to think about what she's done and [E] she won't.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
[A] [E]
And [A] she was looking [E] at herself.
And things were looking like a movie.
She had a pleasant elevation.
She's moving out in order that she could.
[Bb]
[F] Hey, [C] hey, hey, [F] hey, hey.
[Bb]
[C] [F] Hey,
[Bb]
[G] [C] hey, hey, hey, [E]
hey.
[A] The world was moving, [D] she was [A] right there with [E] it.
And she [A] was.
Hey.
[D] [A] [E]
[A] The world was moving, [D] she was [A] floating above [E] it.
And she [A] was.
[D] [A] [E]
[A] Joining the [D] world of [A] missing persons.
[Dbm] And she was.
[A] [D] [A] [E]
[A] Missing enough [D] to [A] feel all right.
And [E] she [A] was.
[D] [A] Ha, ha.
And [E] she [A] was.
[D] [A] And [E] she was.
[A] [D] [A] [E] And she was.
[A] [D] Hey, [A] hey, hey, hey.
And she [E] was.
[D] [A] And she [E]
[A] was.
And [E] she was.
[N] That was fun.
That's what I gotta say.
That is a song I feel like our daughters would jam out to.
It was just a fun song.
It was a fun video.
I feel like they always have a really fun use
of their instruments too.
Like when you guys do drop down in the comments
and talk about Barron's and like just the musical mind
and how cool.
His mind is.
Yeah, and how cool and truly eclectic like it really is.
It's fun to go and then listen to the music
because you totally get that.
It's very diverse, it's very different.
You're not gonna get it in a lot of places.
No, most places you're not gonna get.
You know, you talk about his artistry.
You know, the concepts of the songs.
The concepts of the videos as well.
All play into that.
Yeah, guys.
So when we were just talking about like quirky bands.
I definitely think Talking Heads is pretty high up there.
And to me that's a compliment
because I think in the music industry
to be so artistic and quirky.
Like I think that's really, really awesome.
And I feel like most of the ones
that are really, really artistic and quirky
are the ones that are a little bit different.
Yeah, for sure.
It makes me listen to some more cars.
And then of course the only Talking Heads song
I think we've listened to that I haven't liked.
And I did, I tried it again.
I listened to it for a second time
and I was like, you know why?
I still can't get with it.
When he was like, and I think to myself,
how did I get here?
Oh my goodness.
And I think to myself.
I forgot all about that.
That is the only one that I have not been able to vibe with.
And so many of you love that song.
I have to say, I don't quite understand that.
But I understand the.
What was the name of that?
You see, we started with Burning Down the House.
Yeah.
And then aren't there the ones who also sing Psycho Killer?
Oh.
I feel like they are.
I feel like they are.
Fa, fa, fa, fa, fa, fa.
Enough of that.
Guys, thank y'all so much.
We will get going and not stop.
But thank y'all again for another Talking Heads suggestion.
But as we always send you out of here,
we love you, we thank you, we appreciate you.
And remember every single day that you wake up, guys,
it is a blessing in that you are blessed.
For your new family members,
they hit that subscribe button down below.

You never want to miss out on their videos.
_ [A] _ _ [E] _
_ _ _ _ _ [A] _ _ [E] _
_ _ _ And [A] she was lying [E] in the grass.
_ _ And [A] she could hear the [E] highway breathing.
_ And [A] she could see an [E]
embalmed factory.
_ And [A] she's making sure [E] she is not [Dbm] dreaming.
_ [Bb] _ [F] See the lights [C] of the [F] neighbor's [Bb] house.
[C] Now she's starting [F] to run.
_ [Bb] _ [F] Taking a [C] minute to _ [F] concentrate.
[Bb] And she [G] opens up [C] her _ _ [E] eyes.
[A] No one was moving, [D] she was [A] right there with her.
[E] And she [A] was.
_ [D]
In the [A] air.
_ [E] No [A] one was moving, [D] she was [A] floating above her.
[E] And she [A] was.
_ [D] _
_ [A] And [E] she was.
[A] _ _ [E] _
_ _ _ _ _ [A] _ _ [E] _
_ _ _ And [A] she was drifting [E] through the back yard.
_ And [A] she was taking [Dbm] off her dress.
_ [E] _ [A] And she was moving [E] very [Dbm] slowly.
_ [E] _ [A] Rising up [E] above the earth.
_ [Bb] _ [F] Moving into the universe.
[Bb] And she's.
[C] She's [F] saying hi.
_ _ [Bb] _ [F] Not touching the ground at [Bb] all.
She's.
[G] Up above [C] the earth.
_ [E] No [A] one was [D] moving, she was right [A] there with her.
And she was.
_ [D] _ _
[A] _ _ _ [E] [A] No one was moving [D] she was [A] floating above her.
And she was.
_ [D] And [A] _ _ [Bm] she was. _ _ _ _
_ Seeing that video, talking about how they're all this weirdly cool group.
_ _ [D] _
[G] She isn't sure about what she's done.
[Bm] No time to think about it.
Words are [G] telling.
No time to think about what she's done and [E] she _ _ won't.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
[A] _ _ [E] _ _ _ _
And [A] she was looking [E] at herself. _ _
And things were looking like a movie. _ _
She had a pleasant elevation. _ _
She's moving out in order that she could.
[Bb] _
_ [F] Hey, [C] hey, hey, [F] hey, hey.
[Bb] _
_ [C] _ _ [F] _ _ Hey, _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [Bb] _
_ [G] _ _ [C] hey, hey, hey, [E]
hey.
[A] The world was moving, [D] she was [A] right there with [E] it.
And she [A] was.
Hey.
[D] _ _ [A] _ _ [E] _
[A] The world was moving, [D] she was [A] floating above [E] it.
And she [A] was.
_ [D] _ _ [A] _ _ [E] _
[A] Joining the [D] world of [A] missing persons.
[Dbm] And she was.
[A] _ _ [D] _ _ [A] _ _ [E] _
[A] Missing enough [D] to [A] feel all right.
And [E] she [A] was.
_ [D] _ [A] Ha, ha.
And [E] she [A] was.
_ _ [D] _ _ [A] And [E] she was.
[A] _ _ [D] _ _ [A] _ [E] And she was.
[A] _ _ [D] Hey, [A] hey, hey, hey.
And she [E] was.
_ [D] _ _ _ [A] _ And she [E]
[A] was.
_ _ _ And [E] she was.
[N] _ That was fun.
Yeah, guys.
_ So when we were just talking about like quirky bands.
_ _ Oh.
I feel like they are.
I feel like they are.
Fa, fa, fa, fa, fa, fa.
Enough of that.
