Yeah, we had the great fortune of being in his mass
which was at the Mark Taper Forum for about three months
and one of the greatest experiences of my life

We started, you know, in the garages and all that sort of thing
and then with the advent of the Bernstein Mass
we all had to kind of study up on our sight reading

Somebody gave you a certain album as a present?
Well, it's kind of a crazy thing
Billy Fordresser, [G] who's a great, great friend of ours
and associate producer of this album
gave me a Marvin Gaye anthology
which is one, he's one of my favorite singers of all time
and after listening to that
I kind of went into my kitchen and made myself a sandwich
and wrote How Much I Feel
which is a soul song and he had never done that before
