[Cm] [C] [Cm] Oh, what's up guys?
You [N] know it man, someone made a request for this, the Andy Griffith theme song.
Her request of one of my subscribers, strumming along one.
[D] So put a little jazz kind of a feel to it.
[C] Love it man, great.
[Gb] I can't believe I missed this one.
So you want to tune down [N] a half step, yes believe it or not, it's tuned down a half step.
I know because the background recordings and [Eb] the
[G]
[Ab] Okay, [Eb] if you're in standard tuning, [C] you wind up not being able to go low enough.
So if you're a half step down, let's do [Cm] this.
9-11 on the D and 9 on the G.
[F] And go down up, [Cm] down on the pick.
[Eb] Then [C] go 12B, 10B, 9B.
[Eb]
And then 9G.
And then 10B, 10B, 9B.
Also on [G] that 10-9 on the B, I'm going [Cm] down up and then down on the 9G.
[G] And then you go back to the 12th fret and repeat [Eb] that.
And then this little jazzy half step slide.
Go third [C] finger, 10D, slide a half step sharp to 11.
[Eb] 9G, with first [C] finger.
And then [F] 8B, [C] slide to 9.
Then [Cm] 9G, and then 11G.
So,
[C] and then you [Cm] start it over.
[Ab] Up to there, the 12 [N] to 9-9, 12 to 9-9.
Then he goes, he's whistling, so where he's slurring the [C] whistles, I'm trying to mimic
that [N] on the guitar with, you know, half step bends and stuff.
[Bb] So middle [F] finger, 10B, and bend it a half step.
[N] And then go third finger, [F] 11G, and then [C] pinky 12B.
[Ab] [Bb] And [A] then, there's a [C] rest there, and then you're going to repeat it all up to this point.
Watch, here's the second [Eb] time through.
[Cm] [Eb]
[C] Up to there, it's almost a full repeat.
We're just cutting out [F]
the
Instead of that, we [E] [C] go
10G, half step bend, third finger.
Then go [Dm] 8G, and 9G, [C] index and middle.
[N] Okay, and I think I'm going to show you part of the next part too.
[Cm] Actually, I've got to, because if I don't show you this, you won't even realize the
point of the half step tuning.
[Ab]
[Eb] [G] So [Cm] we'll do an A major [C] here.
[D] Technically it's not, because we're tuning, but we're going to call it A major.
Bar the fifth fret, everything, [Ab] 7A, 7D, and 6G.
Emphasize on [F] strings six [Ab] through four, and then lift your pressure up.
So don't go
Lift that pressure, bouncing.
[F]
Then emphasize on strings three through one, and [Ab] do that twice.
[Eb] Then [G] go
E, E, [F] and then second fret and fourth [Eb] fret.
Then start [Ab] it over on the A chord.
[Eb]
[G] Then the third time through, [Ab] we do the A again.
[Gm] [Ab]
[Eb] [Ab] Yeah.
[Eb] [Ab] [Cm]
[Ab] [Cm]
[D] [Cm] [Ab] [F]
We'll go [C] C sharp minor.
Bar the fourth fret, strings five through one, [F] 6D, [Cm] 6G, 5B.
And then we move over to, you'll do that
[Ab] Same concept, but we're doing strings five and four and three,
[B] and then we're doing strings three, two, and [C] one.
It's more of the feel.
You don't want all of [Cm] them.
And [F] then F [Ab] sharp seven, bar everything on two, [C] 4A, [F] 3G.
This one, I would go ahead and hit all of them.
Go one, two, three, it's going to be four hits.
[Cm]
[Bb] When we switch, [A] we go to a B7, [Cm] it's the second fret, everything,
[F] but the low E barred, 4D and [C] 4B.
Strum all those once.
[F] Then hit the second fret A.
[Ab] [G] Open A, 4E, [F] 2E.
