[E] really fun.
Anyway, many [N] of the emails that I get are very sweet, and some of them are sad, and
some of them are amusing.
And I have brought along some of the more amusing emails that I've received in the last little while.
And I'd like to share them with you just by way of getting acquainted.
It's been eight years.
But [C] before I do read these, I [Dm] want to say that, and it's the God's truth, [N] every single
one of these came to my email address.
Every one.
I was a holdup for a long time.
[C] But then, you know, you can only be so big.
I [D] really enjoyed your concert last [Ab] night.
You probably didn't see me because I [Eb] was sitting in the last [N] row.
But it was worth every minute.
I will always treasure that night.
I was so impressed that I bought three of your CDs.
I forgot.
I don't have a CD player.
Just remember that.
This is from Bonnie.
[A] My husband and I always [Bb] commented on how beautiful your teeth are and wondered if [N] they're real.
Well, yes, Bonnie, they are.
This is from a French gentleman.
Very cute.
I am a 63 years [Am] young man, and I always cry when I hear your beautiful singing voice.
I do not put on much of [N] your music at home because I become mushy and can't do anything.
Please [C] do not [G] stop singing because I drink lots of water and can cry some [N] more.
[A] This, well, I won't read this whole email.
It's rather long, but [B] I will do [B] a little synopsis.
It's from a woman in [F] Newfoundland who wants me to go on [Eb] a bus tour with a group of women.
[Gb] [N]
[Ab] My eyes were perked up when I [E] saw that.
To play golf.
[Eb] But more importantly, as she put [N] it, to lead them in sing songs on the bus.
Lean first.
She's as good as I am.
I've got a lot more money.
I'm thinking about that, you know, what a good golfer or money.
Did I play today?
I'm a little busy.
[D] I'm supposed to, but, you know, I put food on the [B] table.
[Eb] Before I do [Abm] a tour like this, I have to do lots of interviews with radio stations and
television stations and newspapers and [B] so on.
I was interviewed [D] by a young man from a newspaper, whose second last question was,
[Bb] would you ever consider going back to teen singing?
[N] He
[G] [N]
took me aback at that question, so I thought for a second and said, well, you know, David,
if this singing thing doesn't pan out, I'm always going to have something to fall back on.
Occasionally I get emails from people, I've mentioned this, who [C] don't approve of my [D] stage outfit.
Well, it's more than occasionally.
I get 40 years [B] of these kind of, those kind of letters, I get them all the time.
But I was [C] reading just such an email to an audience one night, this [N] was in the US,
and the next day I received this email.
I sure enjoyed your concert last night, and do not let that [D] tacky man who made the unkind
[G] comment about your clothes get to you.
[N]
You actually dress pretty well for a Canadian.
I was [F]
watching one of your videos at home, when a friend of mine came over.
We don't have the same taste in music.
She sat [Abm] and watched with me for a few [N] minutes, and then she said,
wow, I didn't think she did anything else after the sound of music.
