Hi, I'm Dave
[E] And first I just want to say thank you to everybody who's been [B] watching everybody who [F] subscribed
Not the amazing comments that everybody's been leaving
I wanted to make this [Ab] video to tell you a little bit about myself to tell you about us our project
What [F] we stand for and about our patreon page, which we are launching today
[C]
[G] It's really been amazing to see that people are [C] getting the message.
I was [G] trying to send
Los quiero comentar que los agradezco mucho por todo el apoyo [C] que nos han dado
This idea started a couple years ago
I've been playing the local mariachi [E] circuit Austin, San Antonio for about [D] 10 years
I was recruited out of college by a professional group
I was [C] amazed at the variety in repertoire classical pop jazz and of course the endless number of Latin [D] American styles
It all seemed [G] to fit so well
It wasn't long before I started to wonder about pushing it a little further
[C] Finally, it was my wife who gave me the confidence to try this thing that had been on my mind for a really long time
And it's been a blast so far
I've also been extremely [D] lucky to have met some really talented musicians through the circuit
I write the parts and they come in and just [Cm] play the heck out of
As much as they [C] share my passion for this my biggest barrier has been time and this is where patreon [G] comes in
If you're unfamiliar with patreon, it's basically a recurring Kickstarter
But instead of donating $20 or $100 you'd be donating maybe [C] a dollar or five dollars per video
[F] Patreon can [D] also help you indicate a cap so that you're never charged more [F] than your personal budget would allow
[Ab] Your money would be directly [D] contributing to the creation of these videos.
Like I said, my biggest barrier has been time
The musicians that help me are professionals and their time is important to me and definitely [Dm] important to them
They have worked hard at their craft and deserve to be compensated justly
With your help I can continue to make [G] videos on a more regular basis
Your donations will also be rewarded on a [Cm] tiered basis
Access to my [G] patreon only feed [Bb] where you'll get updates about funny and interesting things that happen [C] in the studio
access to the scores and sheet music
To maybe a one-on-one [G] Google Hangout or Skype where we can talk about anything you like I can give you music lessons
on [D] theory trumpet beginning guitar, which is to [G] talk about anything you want as
A [C] contributor you are as important as any other part in this mission again
[A] I really appreciate your help [C] and I'm hopeful that together we can continue to make beautiful music
[D] Either way, we're going to [G] continue to make videos for as long as we can.
They'll be free and available to people
We really [Bb] appreciate your support.
I look forward to seeing you again
