[D] How you [E]
[Dm] doing [G] here?
So right [G] over here we have my man Rob Araujo [C] who just played some phenomenal keyboards here at the Soundslice booth
Rob, kind of curious [F#] as to maybe you could talk about the [D] musical community on Instagram
And how maybe we [Bm] got connected and what you think that has to offer as far as [G] an exciting way to discover [C] new stuff these days
So I started on Instagram just posting some musical content [B] that I had been working on and practicing
[A] It was just for fun at [Am] the time, I wasn't a professional musician
[B]
But Instagram was just a really great social [C] platform to interact with other musicians especially
And [A] other people who are [Am] in these small communities because just the way Instagram [G] is organized
It lets people really focus on [C] a particular niche and get supplied with content from that niche
So [C#] I just [D] over the course of posting videos on Instagram and [F] other forms of social media
Came into [B] contact with so many different [Em] musicians and people who work for gear companies
And people [F] who work [D#] at venues booking [B] artists
Just like everyone in the community who's interested is on the platform and checking things out
Do you try to release a certain amount of material every [A] week or every month to [F] keep things going?
[C] Well, [A] I try to post pretty regularly [C#] on Instagram
But [Bm] there's a lot of other commitments in the music world [Em] where lately I'm working more [C#] on producing longer form content
[Am] More tracks, [B] so that stuff takes a little [A] longer and you don't get to release as much [Bm] material for it
But I still try to release every week
[A] And what about [C] students?
Are you picking up a lot of students [G] that way?
Yeah, I've met a [D] lot of interested [Am] individuals on Instagram and other forms of social media
[B] That want a closer look at what exactly I'm doing and actually book lessons [G] with me over Skype or in person
And that's been a real joy to be [Am] able to share the things that I've learned over the years about music
With other people and [A] possibly help them express something [D] that I'm able to express
[A] Cool, well thanks Rob, appreciate you very much man
