I guess we're gonna do a song now called The Lake by um it's a poem by Edgar Allan Poe
that was given to me by a producer a friend of mine named Tal Willner he was doing a an evening
of Edgar Allan Poe readings and he and he suggested I put one of these poems to music
and this was one that kind of stuck out to me so that's what this is The Lake

With black [F] rock bound, [Eb]
[Bb]
length of trees [Gm] a tower round,
[F] [F]
[Eb] When I'd a throne [Cm] upon that [Dm] spot,
There's a porn [Eb] over and the wind would pass me [Cm] by,
In its [Eb] still [D] melody, my infant spirit would [Eb] wail,
To the [F] terror of the [Gm] lonely lake,
My infant spirit would wail, to the [F] terror of the [Bb] lake,
[F]
[Eb]
[Bb]
And yet that [Gm] terror was not fried, but [F] a tremulous delight,

[Bbm] [Eb]
[Bb]
Death was in that [Gm] poison wail, in its gulf [F] fitting grail,
[Eb]
[Bb]
For I, [Gm] him, could solace bring, [F] to his dark imagining,
[Bbm] [Eb]
His [Bb] wild drink for love, [Gm] could even make, me dead [F] of that dim lair,
[Bb] [Eb]
When I'd a throne [Cm] upon that [Dm] spot,

In its still melody, [D]

[F] To the terror of the [Gm]
lonely lake,
My infant spirit [Eb] would wail, to [F] the terror of [Gm] the lonely lake,
My infant spirit would [Eb]
