Tell me what's it all worth until once you're kicked and thrown
On the edges of the ocean, have a soft last blow
Soft last blow

It [F#] [F#m] was like being in a different band.
We'd never headline shows anywhere near as big as we were doing on the Lost Forever Cycle.
We [A] were seeing growth [D] all around the world rather than just at home.
We'd gone from maybe playing a handful of shows a [B] year where you could go,
like, oh, [E] I really enjoyed that show, that was my favorite show,
to [F#m] touring Lost Forever, it felt like every single night the show topped the night before.
And we'd never had that before.
We'd never had a tour where every single show was sick.
The tour [D] that I did right before Lost Forever, Lost Together came out,
was kind of a strange time because [E] the album had just been tracked
and there was a lot of just uncertainty with the [A] band as to what was [F#] going to happen next.
[F#m] We were still in the same situation where, like, we're feeling like everything hangs in the balance a bit
and, you know, every record was like, well, here's [D] like another roll of the dice.
People always spoke, we were always this young band with potential and we [B] never [E] quite,
I felt that we'd never hit it, and [F#m] maybe on Lost Forever we did,
although obviously I'll feel like, oh, well, maybe this is us hitting our potential, I don't know,
because certainly now, on the back of Lost Forever, we had this feeling of like,
[D] okay, cool, like, we like that, everyone else seemed to quite like it as well.
[A] The growth that [B] we [E] experienced as a band was like, took us way beyond a [A] place that we ever thought we would be in.
We're now [F#m] in a much better spot than we were before and we've come into this record with a lot more confidence, I think.

[F#] [D] We're now in a much better spot than we were before and we've come into this record with a lot more confidence, I think.
[F#] We got your fingers crinkled up in the cracker
Nothing left but dirt and sprinkled up in the mirror
[F#m]
You [F#]
[Bm] don't wanna [F#m] look at the shirt so it's wet
The puppies are back, [F#] the fire's right on [G#] your head
[F#m] Sorry, but the reason's twice in a [G#] row
We've had it since the beginning, now you're on your own
The ladder [A] right down in the sand
Watch the [F#] dominoes fall, get covered in blood
I'm so mad, [F#m]
I'm so mad
We came here two years ago [C#m] to do Lost Forever, Lost Together,
and [A]
we'd always been fans of [C#m] Henrik and Frederik's production.
[G#] It's not that we had a deep problem with the way our [F#m] previous record had sounded,
but I just remember being in this [C#m] room when we listened back to the first mix of [F#m] Naysayer,
and I, honest to God, [G#] had tears in my eyes because I was so just like,
oh, it sounds [D] exactly how I want it to sound.
This is [F#] how I imagined it would sound.
I think it was the first time I'd ever truly had that feeling that something we'd done
had sort [D] of been as I'd [G#] imagined in my head.
So it felt like, kind of like, well, let's not roll the dice again.
If it ain't broke, don't [F#] fix it.
We felt like it was important to come back here and give [F#m] it that sort of continuity, and sound.
On this one, it's [D] like, right, we knew what we were doing there, now let's push it times ten.
Like, it [G#] has to be truly special to beat what we managed to [F#m] achieve with Lost Forever.
