Hey Thule is [Eb] here.
I'm back for another technique video and
Today we will talk about a beautiful technique for the right hand
arpeggio
So what is arpeggio?
It actually means broken chord
So instead of playing the chord at the same time [C] together
Like this you will [G] play them individually [Ab] each note by using a sequence [C] on the right hand
[E]
There are so many sequences that you can do but in this video we will work [G] on a very
common and not too difficult
sequence by using
P-I-M-A [Gm]-M-I
Like the small piece that I just played at the introduction
[G] Arpeggio is a very common technique for guitar in general
you will find them in many classical guitar pieces and
Also for acoustic guitar style like when people accompany
vocalists or playing along with other instruments or even doing improvisation and
for me arpeggio
sounds like waves is
Beautiful and has a unique touch
It's not noisy, but it's [G] really always with movements
So to do it beautifully again, we need to be very patient
take it slow and practice slowly and importantly to have
even sound
So are you ready to work on it?
So I guess you are aware of some basic rules and position for the right hand and if you're not
Please go and check out my first video of right hand technique
Let's start with the open string
So before hitting the little piece that I played at the beginning
Let's practice these two simple sequence
So I will use finger I for the first string M for the second string A for the first string and
P I
Will alternate on different bass string.
Okay, let's do it slowly
equally
Do not move your fingers too far out of the string
Because you might hit the wrong string and it's difficult to increase the tempo later
[E] [Em]
[A] [Em]
[E] [G] [Em]
[A]
[Em] [G]
[Em] And [Dbm] very important to [G] remember that in arpeggio we play only three stroke of tirando
[G]
The next sequence [Gb] that we can do is also the reverse [E] way.
We will do P A A
[G] M I on the same string and
[E]
[A] [Em]
[B] [G] [Em]
[D] [B] [G]
Then eventually we will put them together with this sequence of P I [Em] M A M I
So we have six notes in one group
[G]
[Em] [G]
I guess it's boring to practice always with the open strings
So [Eb] let's have some fun adding the left hand with a very simple and beautiful chord progression
[Am]
[B] B7 [Em]
E minor and E minor will have double the length
In this small piece that I came up with [G] I also
Change the bass strings and adding [G] some other bass notes just to spice it up and adding a little melody to it
So I will play again this with a close-up look
[Am]

[Eb] Now [A] I will show you slowly each chord
For A minor I play the bass on 5 4 5
[Am]
[B] B7 I do the same string
E minor I pick first the [Em] 6th and then I change the note only on the 4th string
[G] [Em]
[Am] repeat
[B]
E minor now [Em] I change the bass note to
B7 E
[Am]
[B]
[Em] minor same as the first time
[G] [Em]
[Am] Last round
[B]
[Em]
[G]
I [E] end with E minor chord and little [Em] harmonic note and if you don't know how to do this
Wait for the next video.
I will show you
I hope you enjoyed playing this and
Of course [G] as everything else to play fast
Practice slow well with the metronome and you know
The good thing is to practice arpeggio you can play on any chord progressions or even
Make up one on your own
Good luck and [Em] ciao for now
