[G] [C]
[Dm]
No [G] need to tell me [C] why.
No [Dm] need to read my rights.
I'm [Bm] ready [G] for a [C] new night.
I got a feeling [Dm] that you'll join me.
We hit a hard five week, [A] five and a half week tour out west, all around actually.
Perimert, perimeter, perimeter, [Dm] perimeteritized.
What I was just trying to say [G] is that we perimeteritized [A] the country for a while and it was [C] really fun.
[Dm]
[Em] Let's just say we left our merch [Am] guy in Idaho
[Dm] and there's no hidden, [Am] there's no hidden, yeah we didn't leave him.
We accounted for him and then beyond that [Dm] he lost track of himself and missed the ride to Seattle.
So he took a, [Am] he took a very expensive [Dm] cab ride from Idaho to Washington [Em] to make it.
But it [Am] all was well that it ended well.
He made it for the show.
[D] We all covered for him.
He made it happen.
And that was in Sandpoint, [C#] Idaho where [G] he woke up, [E] you know, alone and [Fm] as a result we call him Sandy.
Shout out to Sandy.
Shout [Dm] out Sandy.
[G] Oh, oh, oh, [C] we like.
I got a feeling [Dm] when we're talking.
[G]
I like to fool.
[A] We self-released our own [C] albums.
I think a lot [A] of bands in our genre do, like in the jam world for now.
And [G] I feel like we, like [A] from our side of things, we kind of missed the whole [Fm] record deal thing.
[A] You know, and like, you know, everyone's like, oh [G] musicians don't get this anymore.
[Am] And like it used to be this, [A] but we never [Dm] experienced what it used to be like.
We only have experienced like for the most [Em] part [G] Spotify and [A] self-releasing music [Em] is not that [Dm] strange to me, you know.
Just ask Chance the Rapper, am I right?
[Am] [Em] Times have changed.
And [A] so like we've never [Cm] really considered trying to [Dm] seek out one of those fancy record deals.
We [G] just feel like our [Em] live shows and [Cm] connecting with the crowd is more so what we're [Dm] all about anyway.
Something that I [Em] know.
I got a feeling [Dm] that you'll call out.
So I pack my [Em] things and roll.
One cool [Dm] thing that I liked.
Whoa, he's perked up.
Yeah, yeah.
[D] Kind of a new one.
I would have to say Manny Newman, [Em] R.L.D. by his smarts and tradition.
[Cm] What we got into on this [B] past tour, once we [B] all finished packing and kind of got back on the bus, [Em] we put on kung fu [D] movies.
Oh yeah.
And then we'd find [Em] bands that we think [E] are, we call it, kung [A] fu funk.
[Fm] I don't know, [D] Al Michaels of Pear, [Em] the Olympians, some kind of just [C] cool funk.
And [F] we'd basically just listen to new artists while watching [D] kung fu movies.
[E] Which sounds [C] pretty weird, but it was [E] very cool.
Well it lines up [F] just like, you know, with like [Dm] Dark Side of the Moon [B] and Wizard of Oz.
It's like [A] kung fu and certain funk bands.
It's crazy.
Like, [G] you know, they'll start playing trumpet and there'll be like a trumpet scene on the [A] top.
So we'll, [Dm] we sync up.
It's kind of like [Em] DJing, but just [G] watching kung fu and listening to music.
But it really is.
Yeah, I mean we would [Am] socialize too.
[F#m] It sounds a little weird. Yeah.
[G]
[D] [Dm]
[G] The Flock
[Dm] is
[G] a tangible group [E] of like the core [Am] fans who like putting the fun in funk and other various clubs.
[D] I mean anyone [Em] can be part of the Flock.
You can ask and find a group [Dm] and you can sign up.
It's technically an invite group.
We had a Facebook group.
But you know, if you want to join the group, I'm sure you'll be very quick to receive [Em] an invite.
It's basically just a [G] community of, [Am] you know, Pigeon fans who have, you know, [Dm] some have never even seen us before.
And just [Em] a lot of, you know, posts and questions and polls.
Funny memes, [Dm] Pigeon related memes.
Yeah, people will also [D] post where they can listen to our [Em] live concerts maybe.
And [Am] yeah, just a lot of good content [Dm] in a very homey kind of good community vibe.
[Em] We [Em] love you.
We love you.
[Am] And, you know, stay [Dm] hydrated.
[A] Eat bananas, plenty of potassium.
[E] Yes.
And it's going to be awesome.
[Dm] [Em] [A]
[Em] [Am]
