[C] What [B] is up guys, it is me Max, back again with another [Db] guitar tutorial and today we
[Gb] are going to take a [Gm] look at Billie [Cm] [G] Eilish's Bad Guy.
[Bb] The new album just dropped and of [G] course I [Bb] got on that and [G] Bad [Ab] Guy is [Bb] a very interesting
[D] song to start with [Db] because [Eb]
we [A] don't really have to play any chords here, all we do [Bb] is
follow that bassline and that's quite different [Db] from the usual and also [G] quite fun to do.
[Gb] So standard tuning, no capo, no nothing and [A] of course [Cm] my Instagram is [Bbm] down in the description
as well as my main Spotify playlists so [Eb] go ahead and check [B] those out if you want to see
[G] what's going on in my life or hear [Gb] what music I'm listening [G] to at the moment and without
any further [A] ado, let's jump right in.
[G] So the great [Ab] thing is we don't have to [G] take a look at any chords [Ab] here, it [A] will be [G] very
simple and we will be done here very quickly because we [C] start off with our [A] first finger,
our index finger on the [Ab] third fret on the [G] sixth string, [B] so on the lower E string [G]
and
we pick that once [Gm] and as you can hear [A] I'm [G] palm muting the strings.
So we use the palm of our right [B] hand, put it down [G] here [C] on the strings [Gm] and [B] the further
you move up, [G]
[Cm] the more intense the muting [F] gets.
If that is too [Eb] hard for you and you are a [Ab] beginner and don't want to do that, you [G] don't
have to do [B] that even if [G] it's just generally not to your [F] likings, [B] you can [G] just play them
[Ab] as [Eb] open strings but [C] because of us doubling [G] that bass, I [A] highly [Bb] recommend going [G] with that
palm muting technique [Bb] and it's [Ab] also something that you should get down because [F]
it's something
that comes in quite handy a lot of the times.
So what [G] we do is down [Gm] once [Ab] with the first finger [Gm] on the third on the sixth string and
we go three, put our third finger [G] onto the sixth on [Bb] the sixth string, lift it back off
and [Gm] three, so three, [G] three, six, three.
Then we pick the third twice, so we go [Gm]
[G]
like that and then we go [Bb] three, six, [Gm]
three and
[F] slide down [Bbm] onto the [Gm] first and
[F]
[Ab] [C] we do that again [Gm] and
[Bb] then [C] we do the exact same [Ab] thing on the
A string, so [Cm] on the fifth string and [Bb]
we do that once and [Gm] then we put our second finger
onto [Eb] the fifth on the fifth string and our [Db] first finger [A] onto [Gm] the fourth on the [Ab] fourth
string and we do the exact same thing with those two.
[G] The fifth being our [B] first note, our bass note [G] and [Ab] the fourth on the fourth string [Gb] being
our [G] interchanging note.
I'm sorry, English is not my first language, [Ab] bear with me, correct me in the [C] comments down
below [E] because I'm keen to learn on how to express myself properly but [D] and
[G]
now our lower
note, our [C] last note is the third on the fifth string with [Ab] our first finger [D] obviously, so
we go and [Cm]
that is the entire [Gm] thing.
[F] [Gm]
Once, [F]
twice, [Cm]
that [Bb] once [D] and this
[C] one once [F] and in the song, [D] she actually [C] doesn't really
[B]
[C] have [B] that ending [Bb] play, so [B] this [D] whole thing ends right here most of the times but [C] [Ab] I kind
of like to do this in order to kind of [F] round it up, keep things [Ab] flowing because obviously
we are doing that for [F] quite some time and I think if you want to do a cover or something,
that [A] is probably [Fm] nicer to sing along to but that's just my [Ab] opinion and now we will take
a look at [Fm] the ending, the [A] outro because that is [F] super, [Ab] super easy because once again [G] we
need that G bass note, that [A] third on [Ab] the sixth string and what [B] do we do with it?
We just [G] go, we slide down, I mean we don't have [Bb] too much room here to slide because I
mean third fret down to the first [Ab] and well, our guitar neck is done [G] but [C] that's [Bb] kind of
[C] what we have to do here.
[B] [E] Of course, [Bb] you could, [Eb] yeah, you could do that.
I [B] don't have any [Gm] alternatives here to satisfy you guys [Bb] but I think that will do [Gb] the job
just [Ab] fine and that is the entire song.
[Bbm] I hope you guys enjoyed this video, if so, drop it a [G] thumbs up, helps me out more than
you might think [Db] and if you haven't done so already [Ab] and are new to the channel, go [Bbm] ahead
and hit that subscribe button [G] somewhere down there, maybe down there, maybe down there.
[A]
[G] I will probably [Bbm] never find [Gm] that out [D] because it's fun to keep guessing, [Bbm] I [C] think, I [Bb] assume?
Yeah, I'm gonna go [G] with that and as always, [Db] I [Bbm] hope
