you how you can use your right arm.
Pretty cool

bar chord sound nice clean and smooth so next time you see [G] a 10th up story with the B minor
chords or oh B minor.

_ _ Hey, what's up everybody Tyler from 10thumbspro.com. I get a lot of comments sometimes that say things like oh
I hate bar chords or oh B minor.
I was loving this song until the B minor B7 whatever right and
_ A lot of times a lot of the advice you get is kind of just some more pressure on your thumb and try to squeeze
Harder here, but today I'm actually gonna show you how you can use your right arm.
You play a bar chord [Bm] without your thumb _
_ _ _ _ Pretty cool
So [G] I'm gonna be showing you how to use your right arm to get a [B] little extra pressure
To help your bar chord sound nice clean and smooth so next time you see [G] a 10th up story with the B minor
and [E] the C sharp 7
[G] You go alright.
Let's do this.
I'm a bar chord aficionado
So real quick you can get a PDF with this lesson if you want at patreon [Bm] starts just a dollar creation [G] caps as low as
A dollar a month support us, and you'll learn faster
I promise, [Bm] but you don't need those things to learn all you need is that ukulele the brain and attention span
You got those three things follow me on in it.
Let's break this lesson down [G] right now
All right, so I'm doing this video because one of the most [Eb] common comments
I hear on the internet is [G] my bar chords.
You know among other colorful words _
So and then I see a lot of you get frustrated and quit on this song
But a lot of really really really good tunes have [Gb] bar chords
So what we're gonna do is we're gonna give you an extra little tip from somewhere that maybe you haven't seen
It's really gonna help [Eb] you out in this one.
We're talking about our right as you can see I [C] can actually play this bar chord
without my thumb
[Bm]
All _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[G] _ _ [B] _ _ _ _ _ [D] _
_ _ [Bm] _ [B] right, so there's a misconception that you squeeze harder with your thumb [Cm] squeeze harder with your thumb
The thumb is gonna give you a little extra pressure, and it's [Bm] also gonna give you balance all right
[Cm] _ But you can see [Bm] if I just take the light pressure here, and I'm not making any noise
I can actually increase the pressure on that finger with my right [G] hand and what I'm doing is I'm using it
This piece of my arm my [Db] hands are full this piece of my arm right here that touches the ukulele
I'm actually pushing it and pushing the head forward like that
[G] So if you were to take your hand off here and push [Ab] down on your belly you [Bm] can see how the head pops out
[Db] That's what you want to do, but you just get your finger in the way
[D] _ _ _ _ _ [Bm]
so what I would recommend is even taking [Cm] one finger, maybe third fret and
_ Taking your thumb off and trying to do a C minor 7 chord _ _ _ _ _
_ _ All right now when I do get my thumb on [Eb] I have a lot more balance
But I'm still getting extra pressure from here and here making it
[Cm] _ Nice and clean all right, _ so _ _ _ experiment with that, but also try something like this
_ _ _ [C] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [Ab] _
_ _ [Cm] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ What we're gonna do is we're gonna walk through those shapes without a thumb, so we're gonna go C sharp or C sharp minor 7
_ C [C] major _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ G sharp
[Ab] _ _ _ _
_ [Eb] E flat
_ _ _ [D] _
E flat major 7 _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ C [Cm] sharp minor 7
And _ _ _ _ the idea is to do that whole thing without a thumb all right
So [B] those are the tabs up there, and you just practice this at [C] your own pace now when you finally do say okay
I've had enough of this and you do get your [Eb] thumb down
_ _ [C] _
_ _ _ _ _ [Eb] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [Cm] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ It's gonna be a lot easier all right, so let's try [C] those chords together
Let's do a down down up up down on each one now if you can get through this
This is the ultimate bar chord exercise and so [Eb] not only you're doing that, but you're also improving your bar chord vocabulary [Ab] as well
All right, cuz it all _ transposes
[G] Okay, so let's put them up and try to get through [A] them the whole time without our thumb.
Let's take it nice and slow
_ [Cm] _ _ _ _
_ [C] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [Ab] _ _ [Cm] _ _ _ _
[Eb] _ _ _ _ [Cm] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ All right, and that's the bar chord exercise [Abm] and then after you do that then put your thumb down and just but remember you get
That extra [Cm] pressure from right here and play it the same way
_ _ [C] _ _ _
_ _ [Ab] _ _ [Eb] _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ [Cm] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [C] All right, so there you go how you can use your right arm to give you a little extra pressure
_ _ _ Make your bar [B] chords a little clear.
10thumbspro.com until next time rock and roll
[G] All right, so now you got those bar chords now you got that [Bm] tastiness now you got that action
Now you can play any song you want in [Db] any key you want
[E] _ _ _ _
[Gb] _ _ _ _ [G] _ _ _ [A] _
_ What you're doing all right make it a little more fun a little [B] more crazy
[G] Okay, everybody 10thumbspro.com until next time
[Abm] _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ [G] Keep on
I hate bar chords or oh B minor.
