Hi there, I'm Baylor Wilson and this is the story behind my new single, Jesus Happened.
So a few years ago I walked into an auto body car shop that my friend had invited me to,
which was hosting a worship night.
And I showed up and I was like, why am I in an auto body car shop?
This is so weird.
But I walked in and in that moment I tangibly felt the presence of God for the first time.
I had grown up as a Christian, but more of like a cultural Christian,
so I didn't really know Jesus for myself yet.
And I walked in and I literally remember the feeling of like God was in the room,
the spirit [E] of God was there, and the people around me were worshipping him.
And there was peace and joy and like happiness, like actual Christians that were actually worshipping.
I had never experienced that before.
And so I left that worship night completely changed,
and my friends from my past started to ask me,
they were like, Baylor, what happened to you?
You look different, you sound different, you literally look joyful.
And my short version was, Jesus happened to me.
And so obviously that turned into this song.
A few months later I was walking into a co-write with Jeff Pardot, the producer of this song,
and Hank Bentley, the other co-writer, and we wrote this song.
And this is like my testimony song of how Jesus happened to me.
And the reason I love it so much is that if you're a born-again believer and follower of Christ,
this is your story too.
Jesus happened to you at some point in your life, whether you were 12 or 25 or 65,
whenever it [G] was, Jesus actually happened to you.
So yeah, that's the story.

[D] [A] I've [G] got a million questions, all that I [A] can say is
[D] Jesus happened in the blink of an eye, every [A] part of my life was changed.
[D] Jesus [G] happened like a thief in the night, started [A] taking the lies away.
And [D] all my [G] sin was forgiven, the [A] moment I met His grace.
[D] When I [G] started living, and all [A] that my heart can say is [D] Jesus happened.
[A] What [G] happened to you?
[D] I smile [A] every time.
[D] And tell [A] them it's a miracle, like water into wine, because [G] everything's [A] new.
The old is dead and gone, [G] redemption [A] is my story, resurrection is my song.
