Beans beans beans
[Bb] Frey [Eb] ate some beans.
He was happy happy happy that he ate [Am] some
[Ab] beans
People of the world friends and relatives what a stupid tutorial this is stupidest tutorial I've ever done makes no sense
I don't know why I'm doing it.
It's stupid.
You're stupid.
Let us begin
Standard tuning I guess I'm we're just gonna go with standard [G] tuning
There's actually two versions of this song dose that's Spanish for two.
I'm surprised you didn't know that
There's the Nirvana box set version and there's the Kurt Cobain home recordings version
I'm pretty sure they're both from the same like original performance
But the recordings are processed differently which makes like different notes happen.
Let's do the Nirvana box set version first
Please play six on the second string from the top.
You're gonna play that note two times
I recommend you do not use a pick
I recommend you use your thumb and you [Eb] just like pluck the heck out of the note
Make it sound as twangy and obnoxious as possible.
You play it twice
Then play six on the [Bb] top string twice [C] and then you're just gonna repeat that
Four times and that's the introduction.
Let's do it one two.
[Eb] Here we go _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [F] You've learned the intro now [Am] for bonus points if you would like to get the warbly tape effect that's going on
You can kind of haphazardly bend the note as [Eb] you play you can go _ _ _ _ _
It's gonna mess up your rhythm and mess up the pitch which makes it sound even more like the recording
Alright, so we've got the intro now the verse
You keep the same thing going you go six on the second string from the top six on [G] the top string
You just go back and forth as you sing not too [Eb] difficult to do beans beans beans
Keep it going guys
[Bb] Don't [Eb] stop playing the same notes until you get [Bb] to the final [Eb] word
when right before you get to the final word, which is
beans
You hesitate like you're trying to say the word, but you can't say it.
So you go [Bb] happy [Eb] happy
Happy that he ate some [D] and then
[Ab] Right when you finally get the word beans out you play the fourth fret on the top string
[A] beans
That's the first verse
[F] Second verse is very similar.
We just leave out that last note.
You just go
Bam-bam-bam-bam-bam-bam-bam the [Bb] whole time [Eb] just
The same two notes when you get to the last word this time, which I think is wine
You just go wine.
You just play six on the second string from the top and you stop there take a little break
Then it's time for the second verse third
Ah shop time for the third verse third verse is exactly the same as the second verse
Then we get to the fourth and final verse
Which is exactly the same as the first verse you just go
On the sixth fret going back and forth between [Bb] the two strings
Until you get to the very last word drank [Ab] some
Beans and you play fourth fret again, and that's it guys
That's the [C] song from the Nirvana box set version
If you would like to play the Kurt Cobain home recordings version you do the exact same thing
Except instead of being on six and six and then go into four
You want to be on three of the second string from the top?
three on the top string and
Then go to one on the top string for that last note.
I'm [Eb] pretty sure that the Kurt Cobain
What is the thing it's called like fields of heck or something?
I don't remember whatever the Kurt Cobain home recordings thing is called.
I I think the guitar
We're hearing in that recording is less processed.
I think that's more
closely linked to the actual original performance, so I
_ Think that the authentic way to play it is to be on the third fret.
