[Abm] Excuse me a moment, this is Bieb.
[Dm] Hello.
Hello Bieb, how are you?
This is our common call sign.
[B] Hello.
This is uh
I'm from Holland originally.
[Bb] Say something in [A] Dutch.
Hello, hoe gaat het?
[Dm] Goed?
Ja?
[Eb] Prima, prima.
Help [F] him, help him.
Help him, [G] he spoke Dutch.
[C] My parents migrated to [E] Australia when I was 10 [Eb] years old.
[Ab] [Gb]
Of all the boys in Little River Band, the one [D] who's probably the most changed is Bieb [E] Bertels.
He first won fame as a member of an awesome Aussie pop group called Zoot.
A wild [D] bunch of teen idols who looked sharper than they sounded.
My [A] first group eventually became [G] a band known as [Eb] Zoot,
who became very popular in [Db]
Australia because [Gb] we were, it seemed like every week [Abm] we were on TV.
Now as promised, the B-side to the [Gbm] Zoot's current new single.
[G] Hands [Ab]
[Abm]
up ahead, [Ebm] [D] under driver's shadow.
[Abm] Voice inside me said,
[B] Get down but don't get [Db] out.
[E]
[Abm] Out to the God.
[Ebm] [Gb] He said I'm not alive.
[Abm] The crying ain't that hard.
[B] I turned and took [Eb] a dive.
[Abm] [Db]
[Abm] [Db] [Abm]
[Ebm] I actually played [Abm] bass in [Eb] Zoot.
I was the bass player.
And [Abm] of course the guitar [F] player was Rick Springfield.
And Darryl Cotton was the lead singer.
[G] From Zoot I drifted into a [D] group called [A] Mississippi.
[Bm] And Mississippi were really the forerunners of Little [E] River Band.
For [Em] a king.
[G] Yes they still [Gb] are here.
[G] It's only a game.
[Bm]
We'll come [B] back again.
[G] To this time.
[Gbm] And the kings of [Bm] the world.
[D]
Today, B was a respected guitarist, an accomplished songwriter, and a [G] solid citizen.
I was changing, I was thinking a lot deeper about life and the meaning of it,
and was there a purpose to it, and all that sort of stuff.
I guess you do tend to think when you're in your mid-twenties perhaps.
I don't know.
I think people find inner happiness at all ages.
I hope [C] to stay in music for pretty much [Ab] my life.
[G] I enjoy it very much.
I can't imagine myself doing anything else.
The simplest form of communicating music from me to you would be to sit here with a guitar and sing you a song.
[D] That's how I love to create my music.
I could sit in here and play my guitar and [Dm] write songs.
I [D] still get a great kick out of seeing that song grow in the [Dm] studio once we put our heads together and [G] throw in our ideas on it.
It's [D] cool.
With every day of my life, I can truly see now where [G] I am going.
[D]
And every day of this year, I can clearly see [G] I ain't wasted [D] any [G] time.
[D] No time at [G] all.
[D] With every day of my life, I've tried so hard to [G] keep it on go.
[Ab] Well, I've tried to read.
First of all, I was looking at the scenery.
Then this bus had dirty windows, which I can't stand.
Me and my Dutch upbringing.
My parents are [Gm] super clean.
Everything has to be clean, clean, clean.
[Ab] I guess it's sort of left a mark on me.
When I [N] get in the bus and it's got dirty windows, I think it's just terrible.
You [Db] can't even take a photo out the window because you get spots on your picture.
He just rode in from Nevada [Ab]
as the leaves turned [B] brown.
On the last [Ab] tour, my drawer in the [Gb] clothes case with the band had [N] Captain Neatness spelled out on it.
Because it's like a standing joke within the band that I'm Mr.
Neatness in this band.
And I [Eb] know where everything is.
I know where I put everything.
I never lose anything.
[E] I remember on the first tour where I bought a pair of sunglasses and it cost me $50.
For $50, the guys were saying, you've got to be kidding.
I wouldn't spend that much on a pair of sunglasses.
But what they don't realize is that I don't lose sunglasses.
A couple of the [Ab] guys have probably gone through about five or six different pairs of sunglasses that they [E] paid $10 or $12 for.
So in actual fact, they spent more than me ever since I've had my first pair.
[G]
[A] [G]
[A]
There's a smile on your face, but I'm cautious just in case you're a devil.
Hope you're looking for romance, I'm not giving you the chance with me.
[G] I've heard of [A] your good deeds and [G] I know [A] about your needs, little demon.
Demon.
[G] Inside me [A] with your charms, you [G] long to put [A] your arms around me.
[Gbm] To touch the smell of me [D] and [E] display the [Gbm] scent.
It's your turn.
[D] Ooh.
[Db] [Gbm] My turn.
[D] Ah.
[Db] [Gbm] My turn.
[D] [Db] It's time.
[G] [A] Ooh.
Ooh.
Ooh.
[G] [A] [N]
