_ _ So, we're going to start by playing the B string and the E string together.
And we do immediately a whole step bend on the B string.

So we bend until we get to the root note D.
So those two notes are the same.
But because they end up slightly out of pitch, out of tune with each other as you do the
bend, it sounds cool. _ _
_ _ And I also apply a bit of vibrato there. _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ And then we play this, _ [Am] _ _ [Ab] _ [Dm] _ _
[Fm] _ _ _ which is [Ab] just the minor blues scale.
_ _ [Am] _ _ _ _
_ [Ab] _ _ [Dm] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [Abm] _ _ _ _ And I bend a little bit on [Bb] that note at the end, _ _ _ just for added bluesiness.
[Gm] _

And the picking technique that I [Gm] use is, _

for me that's most economical. _

So you see when I go from this note, I do [N] two down strokes.
[Abm] _ _ [A] _ And [Gm] then up stroke _ _ and down stroke [Fm] here. _

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

And then for the next lick, _ [G] _ _ _

I'm going [Am] from here to here.

_ _ And it sounds sour.
So you just have to practice bending into that correct note right away.

_ And as soon as you get to it, you end up here.
_ [Gb] _ So it's a pretty quick move.

_ _ _ So I'm sliding in _ with the middle finger here on the G [E] string.
[D] _ _ _ _ _ _ And then _ [Ab] I use my right hand middle finger to pluck on the B [Dm] string.
_ [Am] _
_ _ _ Twice.
But that first note is still ringing. _ _ _ _ _
And then do it a second time. _ _ _ _
_ And then we slide up a whole step.
[G] _ _ _ _ _ But the figure is the same.
So we have.

[D] And slowly.

So I'm reaching up here with a pinky and do a pull [A] off. _

_ Hit that note and bend it slightly if you wish.
