[G] [Ab] [Db] [Bb]
[Ab] [Db] [Eb]
Well, I woke up this [Db] morning about a quarter past [Eb] four, grabbed my cap and bag and slipped
out the [Ab] door, hooked up my tracker to the [Db] U-Haul hitch, went [Eb] and picked up Vince and
we headed out to Peep the Sitch.
Figured we'd try to get [Bbm] into some smallies in [Ab] the Clearwater.
[Eb]
Praying there wasn't nothing to get snagged up on.
[Ab]
So we're cruising [Db] somewhere near Livingston, had [Eb] some herb in my bowl and I lit it again.
I [Ab] was jabbered at the jaw and [Db] crimson in the eye, [Eb] on the way to Dale Hollow I was floating
like a butterfly.
Then I got stung by [Ab] a bee.
[Fm]
[Ab] Had to squeeze the mustard, [Db] Uncle Vinny said, wow.
[Eb] Then I saw the lights flash and my heart sank [Ab] down and the man strolled [Db] up with a real nice
[Eb] weenie and I rolled down my window and he smelled my weed.
He said, I'm Officer Looper, the Tennessee State Trooper and I'll [Ab] take your license [Db]
and
your registration [Eb] and your grass.
I guess it was [Ab] only a matter of time.
He said, where you [Db] heading?
I said, to catch some bass.
He said, step on out onto my magnifying [Ab] glass.
He made me watch [Db] his fingers and touch my nose and then [Eb] he made me count to 30 but then
he let me go.
[F] Made my day.
[Db] I reckon it was a [Eb] little catch and release.
[Ab] So that there's my story and I want you to know, if [Eb] you're gonna go fishing you better
take her [Ab] slow, better look [Db] both ways and keep her in [Eb] line.
Let this be a lesson to you and your partners in crime.
Always watch your six and nine, don't [Bbm] roll through the stop sign.
You don't always need to make the verses rhyme, don't [Eb] be mixing liquor with your wine.
If you feel so inclined, keep me in mind and by the way, only break one law [Ab] at a time.
