[F] [A#]
All [Fm] right, hey, what's up this time we're talking [E] about a glorious by BJ Putnam
I just kind of want to explain a little bit of the chord chart
Especially [C#] the b5 and the music or the [G#] intro and the musical interlude or the chorus
So I have here we have here b5
F sharp 5 G sharp 5 e5
so all these fives all they basically mean is
[C] Let's say you have a C major.
Let's take C major
[E] If you know all your major minor chords, [C] then you know that the first of C [Cm] major is obviously C
And then the [C] fifth of it is actually G
So basically, it's the first and last note of [G#] any major or minor [G] chord.
That's the fifth
This [A#] is the fifth so in b5 case we take [B] B major
[G#] We're just gonna be [B] simply playing the B and the F sharp or you know the F sharp
[D#m] And the key and for F [F#] sharp 5 it's gonna be these two
[G#] The G sharp 5 it's gonna be these two [E] and then for e5 it's gonna be this
so
[B]
That's [G#] basically the intro and I'm gonna play it with the drum so you [E] can get a better feel of how it's gonna [F#m] start
[F#]
[C#]
[G#] [B]
[F#] [C#]
[B]
[F#m] so that's a
[F#]
basically all there is
To the [G#] intro and that first part [E] now if if you're not satisfied [B] with playing just with one hand
Or feels kind of weird to you, but you can actually do it with both hands
Just play just play the same thing that you're playing on your left hand on your right hand
So let's [F#m] see how that sounds
[F#]
[C#] [G#]
[E] [B]
[F#] [D#]
[F#] [B] [F#]
[B]
[F#] So [C] and then we're ending on the [E] e5
[E]
So that's how [N] we're gonna end that okay
Cool now, let's move over to the musical interlude.
All right, this part may seem a little bit confusing because
This is a mainly guitar song.
So the piano has to take a
guitar approach
To playing it so you [G#] can get the right feel so you can get it to [D] sound more like the album
and so the first thing you do [B] to get in a
Guitar approach is you play these fives?
[G#] play everything or or a power chord another name for playing e5 [N] or just the root and the fifth is
Power chord.
So in guitar terms is called power chord and
Piano terms it's called playing the fifth, but it's all [B] the same
So what you can do is what well here let's just look at this chart.
We have the e5 and
[E] The chart says play each pair of notes together.
So this is actually a pair
So you're gonna be hitting these at the same time f sharp [Bm] and B
[B] over the e5 and then the next is [F#] f sharp and a
f sharp with a sharp
Over the e5 and the f sharp and G over the
[E] So storm so this is [D] one way.
This is the next chord the next chord and
Then it repeats
Right here, and then we go to the G sharp 5.
So basically [G#m] it's the same thing except now it's over the G sharp 5
[G#] So we have G sharp [B] 5 f sharp and B [G#m] together
[E] then next we have
[G#]
G sharp [D#m] 5 and f sharp and a sharp [F#] together now [G#] is G sharp 5 and
f sharp and G sharp
Together [B] now, this is the rhythm for it.
This is the rhythm for it
[G#]
[B]
[Bm] It's B major right here and the [F#] f sharp major
The rhythm [B] for it is this
See
[G#]
[A] how playing those power chords
Gives it a like kind of like a strum feel and that's that's what we're going for.
So
Let's play it with the music
[F#] I'll play the I'll play the intro or the chorus
into the musical [E] interlude and then that should be it the rest of the song is broken down [F#m] for you and
Let's let's [F#] rock it
[C#] [G#]
[E] [F#]
[C#] [B]
[D#m]
[B]
[F#]
[C#m]
and that's it.
You have any questions.
[A#] Just let me know and I'll try and answer them for you
