Black Cow - Guitar Lesson chords
Start Jamming...
Okay, we're going to do
Black cow I guess the easiest way to go about it is to I'll show you the chords in order
And you can just kind of jot them down and we're in some boy different voicings and then I'll run through
The rhythm so it starts [Gb] out
It's an a minor
[Abm] And the first [Am] chord is this c13
You
Based on the C chord here
[C]
But [Am] [Em] you're playing [Am] the high C
And then when the verse starts
[E] [Am]
[Gm] [Am] This [E] [Am]
[E] [Am] is a voicing of a c6
It looks like it would be an E flat
Sorry enough major 7, but it's based on the C root
So it's a form of a six and you're doing this line where you're taking this part
[E] Going [Am] up to the C note
[Gm] Sliding it down [E] from there.
We go to [A] an a7 raised 5
And if you play this [Bm] all six strings, it's a raised 5 flat 9, but we're only strumming to the second string
[A] We block the fifth string
5 [D] to a D minor up
[Dm] [Am] And to an [E] e7 raised 9
Might be familiar with this he said
[Em] Take that triangle on edge or a little pool
To an E flat major 9
[Eb] [Gb]
[Bb] [Eb] [Dm]
[G] 6
That progression will repeat
The next time you get to the E flat major 9 [E] you play an e11 again
Block the [D] fourth string
by 3 2 1
[A]
Now we're on
[E] The chorus [Bb] this is a voicing of an a major 7 a
Is the root with your thumb and you're on [E] 4 [A] 5 6?
To a [Bm] B minor 7
Might be familiar with a full 6 string bar
[Gbm] Don't need [B] this note and you can play the root with your second finger [A] block the fifth [Bm] string
Fire across the rest of the notes
And you play a D minor you call it D minor [Dm] 13.
It's a D minor 7.
We're adding
[Em] the 6th [F] of the D
Carrying it [Bm] over from the B minor 7
[Dm]
[A] Back to the major 7 [G] down to a G major 7 to [Gbm] an F sharp minor 7 [Bbm] and
then E flat
7 [Ebm] raised 9
[Db]
[Ebm] [A] [Eb] B [Em]
[Bm] minor 7 and then B minor and then C sharp minor 7 raised 5
[A] F minor [Abm] 7 [Gbm] major 7 D major 7 [C] to C major 7
[Em]
[Eb]
[B] [E] You're back in other verse
[Am] [E]
[Am] [E] [Am]
[A] [F] [E]
[Eb] [Am]
[Gm] [Am] Use [Gm]
[Am] [E] [Am] [E] [A]
[F] [Em]
[Bb] that second [D] time through where you're born in
[A] [Bm]
[Dm] [A]
[G] [A] [Em]
[Eb] [Db] [Bm] [A]
[E] [Gbm] [C]
[Eb]
You
After the second verse goes to [D] the solo [Ab] some [G] piano so keyboard soul goes to G
Change it to a g7
[A] A7
You'll pause and the [Eb] keyboard will do
[E] And [Eb] you're going with flat [Bbm] 9 [Am] to a D 9
Before measures of that
E [Bm] 9
[E] No, we didn't go over the 9th chord, but it's there's your triangle from the 7 raised 9 you just [Ab] flatten out
root 5 9
2 measures of e9
[Bm] You'll hear another break
[E] That may actually be a guitar [Abm] and then
[Eb] Flat [Bbm] 20 flat 9 [Ab] to an E 9 and then there's that big [G] horn buildup
[A] [B]
[A] [Bm] And [G] then you're back into your [A] last chorus, which is abbreviated so I'll play it
[Bm]
[Dm] [A]
[G] [A] [Db]
[Bm] [A] [E]
[D] You
And at this point you go [A] to an a major 7
[Bm] D minor 7
[Dm] D minor 13
[A] [G] A [A] G A every piece
[Bm]
[Dm] [A]
[G] You
And so on and you can
Be great.
You can cop the soul you can
Get ideas of the soul over that from the from that ending sex soul.
It's all in the key of a and you can you
[Bb] [Gb]
[E] And [G]
[B] that is it
Any questions driving you line?
Hope you enjoy it.
Thanks
